But the continuing malicious inaccuracies in the media about my ongoing role have compelled me to make a public statement today. Quote: So I challenge the AFL to set the record straight for once and for all. If they have a problem with me staying on as President of the Carlton Football Club let them come out and say so. If they don’t have a problem, let them be unequivocal about it then put the matter to rest. Quote: didn’t seek to become President of Carlton.
I’m not doing it for personal gratification. I don’t need the profile, I have no political aspirations and I have more than enough to do with my business activities. I accepted the Presidency because I was asked to help by the Members and I will only stay as long as the Members wish me to. I don’t care whether the media thinks I should or shouldn’t stay on as President, but I do care very much what the Carlton Members think. For me it is a privilege to serve Carlton and I will continue to serve the Club as long as the Members want me to and my health, my family, and my other commitments allow. Sit and rotate on this Smith you fat turd! |

Poor old Pat will be struggling this week on SEN. Dick's fired a shot back and only last week Pat was smugly discussing the probability of Carlton not winning a game this season. Good ploy by Dick - Jabba has been offering lukewarm support all along - he'll have to go all the way now or he'll give the impression he's been wrong on this one, which isn't an option for him. Sorry Pat - you'll have to find another tree to bark up. |

I couldn't make it to the game and watched the second half on TV. The cameras cut to a shot of Richard Pratt in the stands and he was wiping away tears. Fantastic to see how much it ment to him, i actually got a little teary myself. Was great to see him on the field congratulating and lapping it up with the boys. Does anyone know if President Pratt sang the song in the middle with the boys and Ratts. |

I didn't see him tho it was a quick shot. In the middle were Judd, Griggs, Rats, Hadley from what I saw. There should have been few more in the circle. |

Just sent an email in support of him to the club. Loved his comments to Rick Ollarenshaw after the game that he supports the club no matter how they are going, but a win makes it that much more special! |
