The perfect occassion. Us facing a media rabid record, Collingwood our foe- AND WE SMASH THEM.

That's why we are Carlton, and Collingwood are Colling-if-they-could.

Not such a bad week end all things considered.

The VFL result yesterday at Princes Park was a positive and an even better outcome at the G this afternoon.

Progress is being made and all long journeys take steps.

You do not jump from a cellar dweller to a top 4 team by 1 win.

Improvement by all players, who can play as a team for 4 quarters is a good start.

Now is not the time for reason - it is the time for euphoria

Today I took my almost 4 year old son to his FIRST game of Football.

It was the most wonderful thing to tell him that we can't go home until we have sung the Carlton song 4 TIMES.

He had the best day of his life - got the scarf, got the Record, got the hot chips, got to write 7 little squiggles next to number 25 in the record, got a shoulder ride down Brunton Avenue

And to top off our day we caught the Sandringham line home and who should be sitting next to us but one Miss R. Twigley. My son engaged her in a conversation about who loves Chris Judd more. (She got off at Prahran station BTW).(apparently she had a University thing and was then going back later that evening for a Carlton function.)

We were being watched

My tall friend was a handy amateur ruckman cum CHB. He was actually physically next to Twigs. I had the window seat. - His child was the little girl on the seat next to my son.

I am built more like De Vito than Dal Santo

KK are you our colleague who was sitting directly opposite her with your jaw on the floor and thankful that we were witnesses to tell your tale?
