Post subject:  Kreuzer

Something wierd happened last night. I was playing poker on the internet and the player to the right of me was "Kreuz 8"

First I thought ahh another blues supporter but turns out he's never seen a game of Aussie Rules. I guess it's nothin really.. just thought the number 8 thing was strange

Nah it was poker stars.. but I wouldnt be surprised if he played there too.

Maybe but his location was some european city which sounded German (probably where the Kreuzer name originates)

noo it's actually dutch. i'd love to find out how it's pronounced. :-D probably something along the lines of kroitzer!

Yes, that is the 'proper' pronunciation, but the skip pronunciation of 'kroozer' is much better because.....

a) it sounds cool when said en masse by the crowd.
b) far less spittle expelled into the atmosphere.
