is this to do with judd wearing the wrong jumper ?

what a load of rubbish - would anyone have noticed if it wasnt for the stalker on bigfooty?

sponsors weren't matching the rest of the teams with his jumper - he had hyundai on front and optus on back and the team had the opposite or vice versa

the fashion police need to get down to afl house and sort out those boys - sheesh !

This was being talked about on Triple M's coverage of the game...Judd had to get a new jumper as Peverill's blood had got on there? Is that right? Then he came off the ground, put a new jumper on and it was the reversal sponsor jumper. Seems very trivial...

...but somehow Demitrispew and his cronies were looking for a way to turn it into a $1.2 mil fine, loss of draft picks and no soup for you!

Bastards.

(I'm sure they weren't - but they're bastard anyway)

Do you think Swanny orchestrated this to test the perception of the AFL?!

Y'know, start with this, then get the wanky white jumper a little more navy blue each week... until the white is good old navy blue!?

Meh.

Can anyone confirm it was about Judd's jumper?

Reading the title of the thread I imagined itwas about the alternate strip.

I love it how every time someone finds the smallest thing wrong at Carlton they run to the AFL and get told Carlton has no case to answer....

The AFL really do fear us now, I sense a lot of regret coming from AFL house for the way we were treated..........

It's too late though, we will never forgive and forget!

Wow, this would have to be one of the biggest storms in a teacup in football history (although admittedly it's only a 'storm' for a select group of sensationalist fools).

Generally, though, wouldn't the placement and choice of sponsor's logos be largely at the clubs' discretion? I understand there might be a process whereby logos etc are submitted to the AFL for some sort of approval, but given this was simply a transposition of said logos, how could this ever have been a 'story' in the first place?

I can't believe the AFL felt compelled to make comment at all really...

I didn't see the story, but if it is as has been suggested here, then the AFL have done exactly what they should have done...basically said there is no issue here.

Best way to a) say there is no issue, and b) put an end to the story. If the AFL says nothing, then the issue drags on.

Very fair and valid point, I do agree with that. I guess my point was that I can't believe certain media outlets gave this enough focus that it escalated to the point where the AFL had to quash the issue. The AFL certainly did what they had to do, but the media folks involved need a healthy dose of perspective...

The inference was that Judd was wearing that jumper because he had an exclusive deal with Hyundai to do so. And from that somehow he had a deal outside the salary cap and from that you know what is next.

Agreed, wouldn't want Judd to catch ugly.
