Shattered yes, but more excited than anything. It seems that we are finally starting to take little, tiny, weeny baby steps. Losing as hard as it is, was almost bareable. I was not at the game, so i set the alarm for 10:00am Sunday to watch the replay on Foxtel. I knew the result but i had not seen any vision of the game. 10:30 i began to watch. Well hooly, dooly. That little part of me deep down inside for the first time in at least 4 years was excited. I was excited that the foundations of an awesome, strong, inpenetrable team was on display. The destination is still far far away, but i do believe the journey has begun. We are heading in the right direction. A lot needs to go right, we need luck, we need belief, we need hope, pure guts and detremination and i do believe that we will see the fruits of our labour. The boys were shattered on Saturday night and that was the most promising thing. They want and expect to feel the winning way, they are so close, yet so far, but they now have the drive. Juddy is a star. To all the knockers, everything that Carlton did to get him, all the captain criticism, all the $$$ well kiss my ass. Id say he is only at 75-80%, Saturday night confirms why that investment was gold. Be scared, be very scared. Fev, you still owe me more, but i am proud of you. Betts, where the hell did that come from, do it again this week against the Pies, and the week after, and I may start feeling some love for you. Waite, Murphy, Cloke, Gibbs and all the rest, just need to keep it up. Stevo, you stuck it up them, just give me 4 quarters, next week and the week after. I feel proud and excited. I will pay all my bets, and i will move on. We must smash the Pies on Sunday, no excuses, lets just do it.
May you all have a great week,
BM

I would do extremely bad, bad, bad, bad, cannot even mention how bad, just really bad things to Juddy.......

A doyen is the senior or eldest member of a group.

Doyan thats cool, i thought it was a bad thing. Enough of the senior or eldest though, i am 32 and in my prime. (if only i could show Juddy what i am capable of!, I WOULD DO VERY BAD THINGS!).

Pafloyul - The post was little, tiny baby steps - i run with what I know daily, i am not thinking that far ahaed. I am sure when teams are striding that we will be in trouble, i am under no illusion, i am talking more about the little positives that I witnessed on the weekend, more than the bigger picture. God help us when teams are striding, but look what happens when all the pieces of the puzzle start to gel. I am a half glass full kind of girl.

BM
PS - i had an essenscum feral come to work with there guernsey on, telling me that they would play in the grannie in 2010. You have no idea of the imbeciles that I deal with on a daily basis.

Don't worry, I only ever worry about the bigger picture and tend to neglect the details.

every club in the league is taking steps forward.
and Carlton have been playing exciting football for 20 mins to a quarter per game for the last 3 years... and you know when they play their most inspiring exciting free-flowing football? when they're behind by 10 goals. amazing stuff.
enough drivel. this time last year we had wins against richmond and Essendon*, 2 teams we should have already improved enough by now to beat.

Inspirational stuff BM.

You're inspiring me to change my name to Judd.

We are making good headway. You saw it with your own eyes. There was more good than bad last Saturday. It's hard beating 22 players, let alone adding 3 more opponents in white.

Keep up the good work. The Blue boys will come good for you.

Little baby steps.... :-D Love your passion.

I feel we are actually crawling at the moment...don't take this the wrong way cuz pre Ratten we weren't even born yet.

We have a long way to go and we will be stumbling and falling on our ass many more times before we get to our feet to take that first step your so desperately seeking.

I know it ain't the "done thing" to attack posters for their opinion, but sheesh, you're negative in the extreme. What's your suggestion, get rid of all the players and start again. If you can't see we're steadily improving with a new group of mainly young players, new coach and new game plan etc, then I feel sorry for you. Oh BTW, when were we 10 goals down on Saturday ???

Pre Ratten we weren't born. Then Ratten came along and he taught us to crawl (out of the womb) and into the big wide world.

Now we should be SPRINTING!
