Anyone listening to Jason Richardson this morning heard some real sense made by a real Carlton person. The scores at the moment don't matter. Wins and losses here aren't what count, As long as we are building a TEAM for 4 years time then we should be quietly satisfied.... I almost agree..... but geez I'd love to have beaten them last night... |

I agree but i wonder if teaching them to win would be equally important. |

well they hired Brett Ratten on the back of 6 consecutive losses so clearly losses don't mean a thing... ![]() |

I don't think that: Russell, Scotland, Bannister, Houlihan & Carrazzo would be either at the club, or in our best 22 in 4 years time. So it's time to make some changes and throw in: Anderson, Austin, Benjamin, Browne & Grigg. And don't drop them after 1 bad performance, as their confidence would be shattered. |

![]() People like you give everyone the Jimmy Brits. Just a ray of sunshine you are today. You have littered this board with several negative, pointless and ill-informed shit-can posts, which all but predicting the end of the world. Get a life. Get some perspective. Or if you are an opposition supporter, get firetrucked. By all means vent your spleen and make a valid point, but all you've done is bag, bag, bag. It's a wonder you don't barrack for Richmond. |

Not a happy or positive thing to say about anyone or anything. |

Seems like everyone is dropping carrazzo in the Teague/Mckernan basket of B&F one year and out the door the next. I reckon we should use him in a mitch Hanh role. I watched the Bull vs Saints game and he was the reason they won that game, forward line pressure. |

![]() You must be happy after last night. Personnaly I dont consider Essendon* a real rival - For me its always Collingwood. Why dont you call yourself a negative don instead of a bad one? You never come here and say anything positive - why dont you try saying something nice for a change. |

It's a classic example of the MTV generation who are so used to everything being instant. Microwave. MP3. Download TV shows and films. Mobile phones. Instant messenger etc. Unfortunately for those who have never known life before a mobile phone or the internet, they are unaware that football doesn't work in the same way, even with the draft. We're living in the Broadband world, and the draft is 28.8kb Dial-up. |

True, but wins and losses do matter for a coach. Ratten has only signed for 2 years, he needs some results for next in order to secure a new contract. Does the board allowed him to rebuild our team by playing less experienced players and potentially be finishing last again? |

I agree that we are building a team. Last night we another piece to the puzzle. We added Kreuzer...and if you liked what you saw last night, just wait to see the package in 2 years time let alone 4. We have to get the o'hAlpin shit sorted out...they are our x factor. Some really GREAT signs last night. Glass is 3/4 full. |

I suppose what is frustrating so many is that for too long it appears that we haven't upgraded our plan. And BTW, Richmond's weak effort today means that the filth's one less day of rest before next Sunday now means absolutely nothing, not that it was going to mean much anyway. ![]() Apart from a win verbs, want anything while I'm in Melbourne for the game? |

I'm going to Melbourne too bluedog! The team will sense the large gathering of interstaters and produce something special..... I so need to see a win at the G..... nothing I saw today has me believing they're a team we can't beat. |

I don't think we are good enough at the moment in terms of our list to launch an attack at the finals. If we keep taking little steps...by the time we think we are ready players will be dropping off... The Hawks have managed to do things in a shorter amount of time so why can't we? I know at least part of the answer but, apparently, I'm not allowed to say it. Sorry for sounding like a broken record but some of you blokes are starting to sound like a broken record. ![]() |

We do have a lot of work to so - Geelong started from 2001 - and they have had a bit of head start with some extra/luck father and son picks which would have been first rounders in other sides. We still have to clear at least 6 from Saturday Nights side who are not long term solutions to a next Final Four tilt. The younger kids need another quality pre-season under their belts - which they will get with Justin Cordy and his team to really blossom and be able to serve it up with the bigger teams. And dare I say it we need to replace the 6 I am referring to from Saturday Night with some more quality from Draft 2008 and Draft 2009. I dare say we will have to trade quite heavily this year and make some hard decisions. |

put as much positive spin on it as you like its all crap!!!! Except for our first round picks and Judd there is no improvement. Russell, Bower, Hartlett, Jamo, Blackwell, Ackland, Austin, Grigg, Carrazzo, Betts, S. Ohailpin, Bannister will not take us to the next step. Thats almost 33% of our list that are clearly not up to it. Worrying which ever way you look at it |
