I know tonight's defeat was bitterly, bitterly disappointing. But in amongst that disappointment we saw some amazing football tonight which will repay and reward our support in years to come, when games like this are but a distant memory. As a mod, and a passionate Carlton supporter, I ask, please keep this in mind when posting about our beloved club. ![]() |

This pic was used to describe me last year camel, but I think it's more appropriate for the stand you're taking now. ![]() |

I'm going OTT ![]() Hopefully it all clicking isn't too far away; Judd had a massive impact compared to the first two games and Fev performed most of the time. |

Even when we had the run-on, it felt like it was still a loooong way to go. We just never looked like it in the last. At least we have Keuzer's debut to take away from tonight. Geez, it hurts, though. A win. Just one. Is that too much to ask??? |

Yep, pretty much exactly how I read the game too. Essendon*, as much as I hate to say it, deserve maximum credit tonight. They never gave up and regardless of what the scoreboard said throughout the game I thought we outplayed them for the first 3 quarters. They were just too good. ![]() |

a few positives: Fevola Judd Stevens-1st half Kreuzer looks very, very promising 3rd quarter to state the obvious the backline needs alot of work. a lot. |

As a mod, and a passionate Carlton supporter, I ask, please keep this in mind when posting about our beloved club. ![]() My Essendon* supporting twin (evil twins are a truth, not a myth) sent me two messages after the game: 1) When Carlton is fit, people better be prepared because they are going to be dangerous 2) If Judd and Stevens were match fit, Essendon* would have been toast as they were playing all over them. I have not seen the match yet, thanks to no Foxtel, but he was death riding all of it.... so much so that at 108 - 101 he was asking why they had to be the team we found a competitive spirit against. So - yes - 0 and 3 hurts - but I'm seeing it more like 2 - 1.... 2 games with lots of promise, one game clearly stamped "Must do better".... But you all know I'm a hopeless optimist when it comes to this club we love!!! ![]() |

It is frustrating for all of us that never get to see a game live as I love to watch what is happening off the ball and look at structures. Looking forward to reading people's opinions of Kreuz tonight. |

My problem is we wont play any better than the first 3 quarters of footy tonight and we still cant snag a win. Eddie was on fire, Fevola kicked 8, Judd played the best footy in 2 years, Stevens had 20 odd touches in the first half. It all jelled togther for three quaters and we still lose by 4 goals. Im tettering on the edge. I cant see the boys playing anybetter than that this year at least. ![]() |

To me it's all "three steps forward and two steps back". There is plenty of hope but I'm afraid I've run out of faith. |

Maybe it's a desire to find something positive after a tough defeat, but Kreuzer was sensational for a first gamer. His performance was much more than what ever his raw stats ended up being. He showed great maturity and the makings of some very astute footy smarts. If he follows up next week with a game like tonight's I'll be a very happy man. |

Is it a good thing or a bad thing that every single loss still hurts like hell? This is a terrible time to be a Carlton supporter. ![]() |

Do you know that that is a cliché that is like the typed equivalent of an excruciating toothache. Spare us just this once, Jazz! ![]() |
