Round 3, 2007. One of the most exciting second halves of footy you'd ever hope to watch.

I was at the famous Morningside footy club, birthplace of the Vosses, sipping on a few beers with a couple of mates who were behind the Blueboys, mainly because of their Dreamteams.

The club started to pack in once word had got around that the Bombers were giving the Blues a bit of a touch up. I was looking for a hole to crawl inside at that point.

And then it all turned around.

By the time the final few minutes of the game were upon us the club was absolutely full and it was about 50% each way. When the final siren went we all cheered, and the Essendon* supporters were devastated, a good time was had by all.

It seems like yesterday, but it is almost a year ago to the day. Probably the biggest highlight of a pretty oridnary season.

Let's hope all four quarters are conducted in the same manner as the last half, this time. :-D

I was at a mates wedding, after the ceremony we had a few hours to kill but it was out in the sticks, listened to the radio to find out we were getting smashed.

Continued listening as we made our come back, switching from radio station to radio station believing that some were luckier then others (stupid superstition) - the ABC were killing us while Rex Hunt was making us win but I couldn't understand what was going on!

Gutted I missed it.

At the game with my 8 year old, Essendon* supporting, nephew :-D

Welcome payback after sitting through the 99 point drubbing they dished out to us the year before :(

I was a the game... Best footy experience of my life bar the '95 GF and 99 Prelim. The devistated looks on Bombers fans faces after the game last year reminded me of the similar devistation they showed after the 99 Prelim actually...

Was at the game with family. Sitting with other Blues supporter.

My little nephew who was all of 2 and was enjoying himself until the comeback because the screaming and cheering was upsetting him and he kept crying.

He finally got the hang of all the yelling and cheering.

Without a doubt the highlight of last season.

Probably stamped Sheedy's exit papers that game.

I got off a plane from Japan, walked in just before half time to see we were being smashed.

my Essendon* supporting neighbour proceeded to walk in and gave me a serve about how shit carlton are, that I should have stayed in Japan ra ra ra....

I decided to open one of the one litre bottles of vodka i bought in duty free, as I felt I was in for a long afternoon.

It turned out to be a beuatiful afternoon followed by a big big night. With ALOT of hanging shit on my cocky neighbour.

At the game with a Essendon* mate from school, you should have seen him giving it to me after every Essendon* goal in the first half, things quickly changed :D

You could tell he was holding back tears after the game aswell, sensational comeback. Lets make sure we don't give the scum a headstart this week :D

On the way home from a praccy match in Narre Warren.

I got in the car just before 3 quarter time and since the drive home was a fair hike back to Wantirna, I was able to listen to the whole last quarter.

What a fantastic win.

I live in Dandy and my wife wanted to see her cousin to congratulate her coz she had a baby. My wife told her that we would be at your place, which is in Chirnside Park at around 4:30pm. I told her forget about it even though while watching the delayed telecast we were getting thrashed. My father and I watched the whole match. It was just brilliant. Eventually we arrived at her cousin's place at around 7:30pm.

I was at home watching it, having a couple of drinks. No doubt the drinks tasted much better in the second half.

That game probably has more significance than the 99 Prelim in hindsight......

Level 2 MCG behind the goals.

A great game but not as good as 99 or any Grand Final win

One a cruise ship in the middle of the Pacific Ocean - on my way to Ouvea, New Caledonia.

The feed to the ship satellite was crappy - even worse than the Geelong thumping :( - but I ordered room service, half a dozen takeaway beers and had a freaking ball...

...the missus was at some wine tasting expo thingy somewhere on the ship.

Didn't even notice she was gone. :P

Home. Had bought some new shoes that morning, and settled in to watch with my Essendon* supporting mum. Was despondent for the first quarter, then the parents left for an hour or so... by the time they came back we were in front and I was going berserk. We watched the final quarter together and said nothing. At the final siren I simply hugged her in relief.

Of course I REALLY wanted to rub it in :P
