Firstly we are very lucky to have him as our CEO. -Record membership just under 35,500, however still 6,500 members from last year that have not renewed. -Special K will be playing this week and another first gamer. He said there will be 2 new gamers this week. He didn't say who but maybe Browne??? -Stevo is doing extra fitness sessions and his injury at the end of pre-season did not help. He needs match fitness. -Juddy has done all training sessions and just needs match time/fitness -They were pleased with the yound guys on the weekend, Murphy and Gibbs specially and also Pfieffer's debut. -Gerard asked if the season is broken down in blocks. He said yes. He said we were 15th last year and that we replaced senior players, Lapps, Kouta, Whitnal with kids so it will take time however supporters are satisfied if they see the kids playing. -All aspects of the club are up, merchandise, corporate sales, membership etc. -He wouldn't have come to CFC if not for Pratt. -Happy with Ratts support team and new game plan but hte players need time to adjust to it. Youngest list and they need time. -Redevolpment should commence in June -WHITE JUMPER. He is going to tell teh AFL to get knotted and if he had his way we will not wear it again. THe AFL writes a letter to the Club mid week telling them what to wear otherwise a $100K fine (unflowering believable the AFL). We are the Navy Blues and have been for 150 years and not sure why we wore white against the saints ![]() That's all I can remember but is a real good communicator. |

I'd say Armfield, hoping Browne first though ![]() I wish half the people who post on this site actually understood where we are at and what we are trying to do. Swanny puts it plain english yet people still have a cry over losing the first two games. |

Thanks for the update. For those who live overseas or have to work overseas on occasion, updates like this are a godsend and help to work your way through the mud of 20 pages of Carlton-roasting after a disappointing loss. 2 newbies is exciting - what's that, Judd, Hadley, Edwards, Pfeiffer plus two new boys. My bet is Browne. That snivelling snide cock of a player in Milne got too much ball and credibility for my liking. We need to start blooding the small defender in Browne for opponents like that. To my reading Browne has jumped ahead of Armfield for this role after the Bulldogs pre-season game. |

Swanny puts it plain english yet people still have a cry over losing the first two games. Forgot about Armfield ![]() There was no panick in his voice. IMHO they are not looking for quick fixes but blooding kids. On the CFC website there is an interview with Darren Pfieffer regarding the team and he said it will take a little time for the team to gel and they understand each others game. |

Bombers have some quick players....I would think Armfield might get a game being quick and a good tackler but maybe Benjamin could be a surprise selection.. |

They want instant gratification or they lose interest and get the knives out. The critical supporters need to get down on the boundary line fence for an AFL game and actually see the effort that goes into playing the game. It's not quite as easy as it looks when you are sitting in the lounge watching the 50 inch plasma after 10 beers. Regards Cazzesman |

Assuming Jamison pulls up OK that means there probably will be 3 inclusions. I wonder who will be left out? Quote: -Stevo is doing extra fitness sessions Thanks heavens for that! Music to my ears. Obviously there isn't any soreness which must be a real positive. |

I can see who's not giving 100% ![]() Sereiously though, da man, don't getchya undies in a twist, we have explained the issues we have with a certain group of players. Not the entire team, not the ones who have been injured, a slect few that continue to let the team down in terms of output. I was hopeful that Ratts and Judd's arrival would change their attitudes, but it seems they will only learn when Kreuzer, Brown, Armfield and Pfeiffer take their places. |

I'd say I'm about the same age as you Cazz and have been to both games so far. Others like Frankie as well have been around long enough to make a call on what they believe in. I believe some of us have played footy previously as well to appreciate when players are really putting in or just going throught the motions. ![]() |
