Did anyone see judd loosing it at Nick Stevens after he gave away that 50 on On The Couch last night? I felt like doing the right thing after seeing Judd come down on him.

That was a bullshit 50 though, especially after Hudgeton went unpenalized despite jumping up and down crying after every free he gave away.

Was excellent would love to see him have a chat to Brendan at times in matches as well. I think Fev actually respects Juddy and that's a short list the 'Fev respect' list I'd suggest.

Unfortunately, most of the time the "Fev Respect List" reads

1) Fevvy

2) Daylight

3) JUDD

4) Anyone else.

It was a BS free kick in the first place. The fifty was an extra dollop of turd on top. I don't blame NS for cracking the sh1ts - he was the only one trying to get the footy.

Then when he got the footy he layed on top of it and made no attempt to clear it out. The free kickwas warranted and so was the 50m penalty. The umpiring department warned all week there would be a zero tolerence policy. The fact they didn't enforce it on Hudgton doesn't excuse Stevens.

Our problem is leadership. We're missing that band of players from 24-30 and most of the ones we do have exhibit little leadership.

Spot on, St Kilda bitched and moaned about every free kick paid against them....I almost threw something at the tv when that 50m penalty was paid.

Edit: TBB does have a point though.....some leadership and discipline wouldn't go astray.

I think getting Judd should do amazing things for the playing group.....it is time for some of the boys to take a leaf from his book and actually do as he does, instead of just admiring it.

the negative forces still over power the positive - We need more than Judd - Either that ditch the negatives

Doesn't excuse the umpire's decision either.

It was a bullshit free kick.

Stevens made all the play to get to the ball and then his opponent who was lagging behind held onto him and the ball. It was definitely NOT holding the ball. The umpire reckons Stevens "didn't do enough" to get the ball out, I reckon his opponent "didn't do enough" to get NEAR the ball, let alone EARN a free kick.

And then Stevens said, quite rightly, "What was that for?" and a 50m penalty was issued.

That is the absolute height of stupidity by the umpire.

The free kick may or may not have been there, but the 50m definitely wasn't there.

Also, what they may not have shown was after the goal was kicked, Juddy actually went over to Stevo and gave him a bit of a tap and told him to move on, keep his head up....but of course, much better to just show half the story and show him giving him a spray.

What did Judd say or do to Stevo after he gave the 50m away?

Juddy had a quiet word and told him to let it go (I assume from from the footage).
FWIW I thought it was over the shoulder, however Stevo did too and didn't play the whistle. The 50 was a joke considering Mad Max arm waving etc. Really was a costly time in the game too, we just back got within a goal and coins IIRC.
