Still disappointed with shocking effort saturday and lucky not to be beaten by over 100 points.HOWEVER when your team is going through a shocker this is the time to stand up and show your support - we should pack out Telstra Dome on Friday and get behind our team -irrespective of who is out injured or dropped from the side Im still looking forward to seeing Setanta play his second game - the return of hollywood fevola- the continuing rise of waite - the amazing improvement in the game of barnaby french - the potential of andrew walker - the coolness of brett thorton- the skills and adroitness of lappin and houlihan - the courage of teague to name a few
Yes last week was terrible and we need more talent and perhaps the season hasnt turned out the way we wanted it but still got two thirds of the season to go and we can get a lot out of it -the rest of the season starts on friday night and I for one will be screaming my lungs out when our boys take the field after all WE ARE THE NAVY BLUES.- GET BEHIND YOUR TEAM -

I'd love to be going, but I have a policy that I don't go out on Friday nights before playing football the next day.

Channel 9 for me.

Good to see a young bloke show some commitment, no matter what level he's playing at.

Committment to what though? Putting himself before the team, that's what. We saw too much of that on Saturday and it would appear young PJ has learnt nothing.

Bloody terrible mate. I thought you were one of us

Though I guess that's a bit tought to take from a bloke who missed the first 5 games of the season

Would love to, but I'm in a comp on Friday night.

Spewing, as I love going to the dome

(did I say that out aloud?)

I'll be there with my Geelong supporting mate, his Geelong supporting Father-in-law and his two fanatical Geeling supporting son's.

Ahhhhhhhhh, good week to be competitive thanks boys.

Great post pointing out the positives frank. As you list the players it shows we still have some good players, we just need to get swtiched on mentally and we can be competitive Friday night.

I think some of our players don't deserve our support.
But I'm a glutton for punishment and because I've paid for my membership, I will end up going.

I'm still in shock from Saturday, but I think by Friday night I should just about be ready to come off the anti-depressants and start cheering again.

Go Blues!

I will be taking some blood pressure pills and a good book (if it turns into something ugly). Alcohol is no option as I am driving. At least I am prepared for the worst. The problem Saturday was that nobody was expecting anything like this.

I agree with you Frank about supporting the team....
For me, what ever the result of the week before (and, I am still hurting from Saturday)
I will always be there the next week to support the team, and with pride....

Regards

Will be there hoping the guys can turn it around, but not expecting that much.
And if the guy from the last dome game is in here and wants to complain about us swearing, you better get ready for some more swearing.

Friday & the chance for redemption cannot come quickly enough…will be there for sure.

I'm actually more confident about this game than the Rich match for some reason….Richmond's talls had me worried all week.
I still reckon we'll get done though.

But let's all get there & make some noise.

I'm still tossing up whether to go or not. I do actually have something else on that I have semi committed to. And I never miss games so it's so hard to make a decision either way.

We'll see what happens..

No need for you to make a decision. I'll make it for you.

You'll be there.

Yeah probably. For the last couple of days, in the morning I'm going to see my friend sing but by the afternoon I'm going to the footy. So, if I go by that principle then come Friday afternoon I'll be going to the footy... Decisions decisions.

Here's a compromise;

Bring your friend to the footy. They can sing and entertain the crowd for a payment in let's say BEER! of course - you'll have to drink them though...your friend has to sing afterall and just think if they got pissed then their singing would suffer and nobody would give you beers anymore  so it kind of works really doesn't it?:?

Anyway if all else fails at least they can entetain the many disappointed Carlton fans when we lose by 10 goals in the social club afterwards. I think the singing for beer thing could be a goer there as well. If their really good then try upping the payment from Beer to Spirits.

Fluid for thought?

spf, your heart is in the right place & I truly thank you.... But she doesn't do beer or footy so it's no go there.
