Post subject:  What is it with talkback radio callers?!
Tonight as I drove home a "Carlton supporter" rang SEN and said that clearly Ratten was not the right man to coach Carlton and should be sacked. He bagged the 1995 people who surround Ratten and called for him to be replaced.

He was treated with amazement by the hosts.

I then flicked over to 3AW a short while later - here was the same guy telling Caroline Wilson the same story. She was surprised to say the least.

If the person who called in to these gossip shows is reading this message all I can say is relax mate and wait to see what the season brings.

It's a long way to round 22. We were never going to win the premiership this year and we should be hoping for continued small steps not a giant leap into the realms of the best teams in the land.

The last thing this club needs is more turmoil and disquiet amongst the media over another Carlton issue.

Pull your head in and sit tight for a while.

about three nights ago on sen i was left in stitches after being treated to this beauty by a richmond supporter:

first another supporter rang and said you have to win 4.5 games or less for 2 years in a row to get the priority pick before the first round. staright after, a very let's say inebriated (and that's putting kindly cos im convinced this bloke was on much worse) rang in and started off by slagging off the previous caller as much as possible labelling him a stupid moron and a complete imbecile. i was thinking well he must have got something wrong. so this bloke goes on to say (in a very very drunk voice and barely able to speak): that bloke's got no idea what he's talking about. everyone knows that you have to win 10 games or less combined over 2 years in order to gain the priority pick. :oops: and then to make matters worse the tool that was hosting the show at the time (i forget his name but it wasn't mark fine) said 'yeah i think you're right there mate! :shock:

The demographic on SEN is "Bogans and No Shows" and you are expecting sense and logic - most of the callers they let on are pissheads and Filth Supporters and if they let the producers know they are going to bag Carlton they get pushed to the top of the queue.

Most 3AW callers might have got to Year 10 and been asked to leave so they dont ruin the schools VCE pass rate. :roll:

What every1 seems 2 forget is the footy world is full of "colliwobbles" & "We never cheated the salary cap"(bombers) supporters who r so jeolous of the Blues success over the past 40 years, listening to them cry and whinge over anything we do gives me a buzz.

Flag 17 is but a few years off and its gunna b so sweet.

Cant wait 2 see EDDIES face on GF day.

i have better things to do with my time than ring that crap hole of a station. My brother has it on 24/7 at home.... drives me insane. have to admit though my ears do prick up when i hear 'carlton'

We could be accused of causing the Holocaust and people would believe it. I gave up on SEN after FatPrick's first tirade on Pratt, comparing him to Mokbel. I'll only tune in if they're the only ones covering a game of ours.
