Well, its not like St Kilda didn't bottom out and score bulk heaps top picks is it?

Pot, kettle and black.

Carlton bashing is the thing at the moment, the media has built us up all pre-season and are now delighting in knocking us down.

He was talking about some of Pratts statements eg. Fitzpatrick recommending Swann, Worsfold assisting Carlton to obtain Judd.

Unfortunately RP is going to stick his foot in it sometimes.

What did he think the AFL should have done about either of those situations? Fitzy not allowed to recommend someone? The AFL wanted to all but run the club when Smorgo was in..

His issue firstly was with the AFL, not us, and related to the recommendation coming from the AFL, for a CEO employed by another club.

Its a good point. How would we feel in 3 years time if the AFL recommend Swann to the new West Sydney team?

His point regarding Worsfold getting Judd to Carlton is a little strange though. Pratt said Worsfold did what he could to get Judd to Carlton as he has a soft spot for us. The AFL had nothing to do with that and I would have thought Worsfold was quite within his rights to do that.

they had andrew demetriou on too and asked him about Mike Fitzpatrick's recommendation to Carlton and also that RP has spoken to John Worsfold to assist in the Judd recruitment

Re Mike's comments, he said that he and Mike had mentioned 5 or so names and that Swann was just one of the names. he seemed pretty relaxed about it and so no problems

re- worsfold he talked more about what Judd did and thought it was impressive that Judd had interviewed clubs and what free agency might look like in the future.. did not really respond to the question

Andrew's non reaction says it all - there is absolutely nothing wrong with either of those two incidents

i am struggling to understand what all the fuss is about

Yes, Grant Thomas is just not important to modern football. Almost as irrelevant as Patrick Smith.
