Now I am not the hugest fan of this bloke, but he looks to be playing very well, very consistently for the Ants. Against his old club, first game for the year - whaddya reckon? He's worth a shot. I think he'll play. Good Luck, DC, give em hell! |

No thanks. The talk on this site is that our disposal & skills in general are poor. Not sure why we would want to bring in the worst kick on our list if we are trying to fix the problem. I know that he tries hard, he got a lot of the ball in the ants game on Saturday be he did not do anything with it. |

Elroy, methinks its the length of Clarke's absence that has led you to make this call, but from some of your anti-Wiggins post I can't help but think that you would be disappointed with Clarke playing. Pagan prefers Wiggins to Clarke, given your position on Wiggins... what does this tell you? |

Agree with Danielle. No point in playing someone that will most likely be delisted at the end of the year. Waste of a senior spot. Play the kids! |

Yes, let him get to his 100th. He'll be gone soon enough. As I've said before, I couldn't care less if we lose anymore as long as the younger players (and no I don't mean Clarke) keep progressing forward with their development whether that be in the bullants or in the seniors. |

Budzy, u beat me to it. He needs to play Friday night, not only for his 100th game, but also for his 25th birthday (a victory as well would make a nice present). Personally, I have been disappointed that clarkey hasn't got a run. I actually thought that he would come in after Carazzo's injury. He may never be a superstar, but I can tell you, if he played last Saturday, he would have been busting his guts as he does every week. The guy is disappointed because he believes he deserves a game and I agree. The guy keeps doing what's asked of him for no reward. Pagan needs to act now ! With talk of lack of leadership especially with the kids, just talk to the Ant watchers and you'll see that he guides the young players and is vocal out on the ground. Play the players who want to play and are prepared to do the hard things and results like saturday wont happen. |

It's one of those things...he won't be around much longer so do you reward consistently good form in the VFL or do you just forget about him no matter how well he's playing... I reckon if you play well enough in the VFL you deserve a go no matter who you are. Otherwise it defeats the whole purpose of the VFL. Clarke isn't the best player in the world but is he really that far inferior to some of the players that get games ahead of him? At least he's got a bit of pace and good determination. Wouldn't hurt us to give him a chance I don't think. |

I don't have a problem with giving him his 100th game, especially if he is setting a good example re training, etc.... |

if i had to choose between, clarke or bentick as that last extar midfilder, i'd pick bentick. i'd bring davies in before both of them. so ins for me would be daves then bentick then clarke. but to be honest i'd rather guys like morrell, mcgrath, bryan etc to come in before clarke. besides what can clarke do that corey mcgrath cant do better? |

In the paper today Denis said something like "we wont be making any unneccesary changes... we're not hiding any superstars in the VFL", or something along those lines.. Doubt we'll see Clarke in this week. Walked past the Bullants game on the way to the G on saturday and saw him boot it from just forward of the centre to the only person in the forward 50 that was on his own, except he played for Coburg. He seems like a great bloke and it would be good to see some guys out there who are really having a go, but I dont think Clarke is going to be our saviour. |

It will sure amuse the cat supporters if he plays. Last time we played them they laughed every time he got the ball and kicked it straight to them. |

He should not play. Why should he play his 100th game? He should only play if he deserves to be in side. Since when did we become a club that let's players play milestone games coz it looks good on the resume? I know some will think that's harsh, but in my opinion he's played 98 games to many... |

I know some will think that's harsh, but in my opinion he's played 98 games to many... When Dennis took over coachin duties and allowed his mate Mick to reach 300. |
