What happen to Whitnall he was so good at the wizard cup i think the next 15 weeks we will see if he will be playing for Carlton next year.Today was the day he should have kicked a bag of goals but he didn't do much.

Whitnall should be permanently moved to defence

Was wondering when a Whits thread would appear.

Not even Johno Brown would have marked the rubbish that was kicked to him up forward today. And not much you can do up back when there is no pressure being applied by your midfield.

Could he have done more? absoloutly he could have. So could have 21 others. As a team we were nothing short of appalling today.

I'm actually surprised you can still be negative.

Does the time ever come where you're so negative that you have no belief, no faith and so when things go bad it just seems normal to you and so you don't feel the need to comment?

Or even if that time came would you still not be able to resist the urge to have your 2 cents worth?

I think the problem with Lance is he is over 100 kgs again. The word is he has been given a warning.
Now you look at Richmond tand their three real talls and Carlton with a flatline 190cm forward line.
Well a flatline 190cm forward line doesnt make the opposition defence shit itself. Lance cant play CHF because he is not a modern day CHF.. he isnt tall enough and he isnt mobile enough.
Did you look at Teague playing on Stafford?? Didnt that put a shiver down your spine before the game even started?
Until we can real talls we wont ever be competitive.

Campo Kouta Scotland and Stevo would have had 110 touches.. that kind of statistic should win games. How come we were neaten by what should have been a century????
The answer is you can throw whatever statistics in my face but they mean sweet FA.......

I think weve played all the shit teams already... except Brissy !!!
I think we know where we are at...

Yep, Whitnall should have kicked 15 goals today; he had the ball delivered to him on a silver platter.

WTF could have Whitnall done today with that crap delivery..

I tell you what Al, I will kick the footy so high in the air to you and then get 3 blokes, put 1 in front, 1 behind and then 1 to jump over the top of ya, see how many you can mark.... Next, I will get you to make a lead then I will kick the footy so it lands 3 metres in front of ya..

bos...you forgot to mention about kicking it 3 metres over the back of him, so that the defence could scoop it up and run away with it

On the subject of Lance

I've seen some weird umpiring decisions, but one today was one of the more interesting I've seen

A Richmond player picked up the ball, then proceeded to headbutt Lance's leg. Lance did not put his leg into this players head. The umpire gave the Richmond bloke a free for too high! Our players should now be instructed to headbutt the opposition players leg and they'll get a free!

That's funny Effes...everyone around me thought it was for holding the man..but with the player on the ground and Whit's with both arms up in the air, we couldn't work it out!

either way, it was a crap decision

The thing is what he has done this year that fat flower nothing much but the team was shit i was saying this was the day he could have kicked a bag but he got shit kicks to him but he still wouldn't do much even if the ball came to him the guy really doesn't care about his footy with his weight up it's time Pagan does a Sheedy get with it or play in the Bullants Reserves. I rather get flog everygame playing all first and second year players then lose most games by a few goals with the seniors players that been there.

It was just what we needed too, with the crap we were serving up as a team, for them to get 3 free-kick goals in a row to start off the 3rd quarter. There's no way Brown should have got too high against Wiggo either.

How do you explain Rioli getting a game then? He is a disgrace at the moment

Al, don't know if you were at the game today or not but I was. There wasn't much the forward line including Whitnall could do when the ball was either bombed nice and high or dribbled along the ground. Richmond somehow had 2 loose players in our F50 during the first half, so that just made it easier for Richmond with the way the ball was delivered in....

Shit, can't beleive that Lance is overweight again. I thought he'd be going the Chicken fold-overs instead of the Big Macs !!!!

Unless he's got a health problem, he should be putting in 110%, as he's on his last chance at CFC surely. If he's just slacking off then trade him while he's still worth something. Our forward line without Fev had to be our worst since the war today. No joke.

Whitnall is not a key forward.. he is an overpaid 3rd tall .
Unfortunately we cant afford that kind of luxury.
We need a genuine tall if Fev is going to be around. There is no way we will ever have a cutting edge forward line with Fev at 188 cms and Lance at a very slow 190cms.
Lance would be handy to ateam that may be competing for a premiership but he is of no use to us.

Good point Synbad. Lance would be ok if matched on the "3rd best" defender too. Ok then, have we got anyone for that tall forward spot ?? Deluca isn't strong enough yet and Setanta is still learning AFL by the looks of him today. Can't think of anyone coming out of contract either.

Any ideas ???.................anyone......

The problem is that there isnt alot we can do this year... next year Fisher is back.. Waite is around.. we have Deluca and Fev...
There is no room for a 3rd tall Whitnall because we have others.
Whitnall has to go and his money needs to be used to bring in a main tall..
Lance should not be at the point at this stage where he is that comfortable that his weight goes back up after everything he has done in the pre season to get fit in his watershed year.
Lance is at Rubicon.
