Injuries got him too. Was listed at the same time as Andrew Phillips as 'indefinite'.

Alan Hilton, a 16yo Pascoe Vale boy who played with Coburg.

I think it was 1979 when Harmesy broke his jaw in an intra club practsie game; Hilts was a goer and was pushing for a spot in the 22... and he was only a kid.

That's when I coined the term 'carlton canibalisation'.

We should've had 2 firsts teams playing in 1979!!!!

Young & Peter Francis were on the wings in the 79 GF and both played great games that day.
Young played at Carlton in 1980 then went to Melbourne for the next 2 years and his career was over at only 23.

Leigh McConnon was from Tassie, arrived IIRC with Tony Pickett.

2 Coburg boys who arrived together were Adrian Basset and Tim Reneitts.

And they were a long time apart (12 years?)

Brad Fisher.
If he keeps getting injured at the rate he does, he'll never get on the park.

Luke O'Sullivan.

The poor bugger could have been anything if he was injury free.

Fraser Murphy if he was wasn't so short
