Callan Beasy wearing Wallsys # 42. He came through with Livo, Wiggo, Sporn, Campbell and O'Keefe. He looked the pick of the bunch to me. He put his body on the line and could also take a good contested mark. Injuries and lack of opportunity from Pago Pago saw him sent packing to the bush. IMHO, he should have been persevered with.

Stephen Oliver would have to be the ultimate type that is this thread!

I felt for Whitehead. He could have still been playing today if it wasn't for his injury and ensuing court case.

Captain James Cook - a Friday night match against the Roos from memory (1996 ish???) when he was standing on blokes heads for fun!!

Ditto.

Cookie was robbed of the mark of the year for that grab when he did what Ablett failed to do and controlled the ball.

Or he was robbed for not taking that hanger over an opposition player. :P

Loved the Rhino.
In one game kicked 4 goals and won the game for us but no-one knew who he was, it was that long since he had prevously played.

After he retired was apparently writing a book on coffee shops in Melbourne? Gotta love that.

i 2nd that...an absolute gun of a person...who did have talent...but we tried to make him something that he wasn't...

I'll 3rd that, didn't have any luck with illness and injuries early in his career.

Also agree with thegezman on Jordan Doering.

Ben Nelson and Mark Porter for me. Was absolutely spewing when we traded both of them for some real guns in Eccles and McKernan if I remember correctly.
