TANK 8)

Honestly is this for real? I was hoping it would be at PP no matter who we played because they are often in regional parts of Australia. But a praccy against Collingwood there would be unreal - the club could promote it aswell and sell a heap of memberships and merch.

I believe that if we win we will be at TD, and if we lose we will be at PP. (WIN WIN!!)

But I think the Pies play the weekend after in Albury....could be wrong though.

The last thing the AFL would want is a scratch match with a packed to the rafters PP while TD sits half empty with a NAB cup match.

Actually, just re-read my post, and the timing is wrong. We could play each other as losers 2 weekends from now.

But Mandy and Deano are right....The AFL aint smart enough to let that happen.

How quickly we forget, anyone else remember playing them on Valentines Day probably around 1998? Going futher back, in 1989 we played them in a praccy match at Vic Park.

I think we lost both times.

We beat them in the Valentines day match. I was their with my Collingwood supporting girlfriend at the time. Cost me a root the blueboys that day she was pissed off. Darren Hulme played his first game that day.
So that is 3 things I can remember about that game.

I'll give you more, it was a Friday arvo and about 40 degrees and you can bet they didn't use the interchange as much as they do nowadays

Indeed I do...that was a great day.

Not sure if it helps - but the AFL have also scheduled AFL Practice Matches for Bendigo (29th Feb) / Shepparton (7th March) and Casey Fields (8th March).

Lance Whitnall also played his first game that day.

I remember going home and telling my brother about both of them.
