Post subject: | A special request from the WA Carlton Supporters group. |
Hello fellow Blue Baggers! I have been contacted by a Carlton mate in Perth who is a current WA Blues committee member. The committee is seeking 6 membership numbers (silver or better) that they use to purchase tickets for the game against Wet Toast on Friday 02/05/08. The committee plan on purchasing the tickets & then raffling off the seats as part of their annual fund raiser. These guys work so hard (they volunteer their time) and it's because they all share a love of the Blues just like the rest of us. Rest assured The Carlton Football Club oversees all of the financial goings on within the WA supporters group so the money raised goes directly to the club. If you would like to donate your membership number (you do not have to part with your membership ticket at all) then please contact Mike below & he will give you all the information you need: supporters@wablues.com Thanks everyone and GO BLUES!!!!!!! I've updated the email address at Mike's request. |

Hey Donstuie. If you have any concerns about it maybe contact the WA supporters group via the link in my post. I'm sure it is but I don't know any further details, just passing on the message to help out some True Blues who do a great job spreading the Carlton word in WA. |

Is what legal? Giving away your membership number or holding a raffle? Will anyone care? |

I was under the impression that it was frowned upon to give your membership (card or number) to anyone else. |

![]() OK, I'll answer it seriously now. Yes, it probably is illegal to transfer your membership number, but I seriously doubt the club would have any concerns given that one of their own supporter groups is benefitting from it. Regards, Navy Blue Arse |
