the Blues are likely to rest Brendan Fevola, Chris Judd and possibly Nick Stevens until late in the NAB Cup or regional challenge series
.. whilst that probably doesn't stand us in good stead for the Who Cares this year (which isn't really that important, although the dosh would be nice) it puts us in the box seat to upset Ninthmond's pre-season plans!

Will be a shame not to see these guys run around in the pre-season, but that gives us a better chance to see some of the newbies get a guernsey .. win / win for mine

Great news.

Play as many kids as we can, let them get a feel for AFL, and see what they've got.

Haven't they got better things to worry themselves with like how sh!t they are and how they are going to avoid consecutive spoons!

I can see a crowd of 90,000 plus at the G for R.1. It's gunna be massive!

Good move to prime our big guns for R.1 and give the kids the NAB Cup opportunity. Good stuff!

I like the way we are doing our bit to stay in the news this off-season. Managing communications is a vital function of a footy club. The reason I say we are doing this is because Ratts said exactly the same things as appear in this article in November or early December (ie. Judd wouldn't play, Fev would have a rest, we'd ease Simpson back into it, our priority was round 1, etc), and this article has just regurgitated those same thoughts two months later.

I look at such articles as a good way of keeping interest around the place and driving membership.

Now Ratts... if you aren't going to play Fev, Judd, and Stevo... can you please put Jake Edwards in the team???

Molly, Molly, Molly...........! you took the words right out of my mouth and we weren't even kissing!

This kid simply MUST (if fit of course) play every game of the pre-season and atleast be given a decent chance.

Saw him do some Kouta-esque moves last year (ball in one-hand etc) and with his build, he could easilly slot in accross the forward line or possibly into the midfield if need be.

Exactly, we beat them Round 1 last year and played the Kanga's in Round 1, 2005.

Fantastic news.

Now let's hope they throw Hartlett to full forward and let him stay there. He's most likely down on confidence, so give him all the confidence he needs by trusting him at FF.

This will also give someone like Ryan Jackson a shot to show what he can offer.

I like the direction the club is heading in on field.

Sorry guys, I'm pretty sure, although its not clear from this article, that the journalist is making reference to sounds that Richmond has been making about "knocking Carlton off their perch" or something stupid like that even though they're hyping themselves up as much as anyone
