With the strength of our new side this year will there be room for Sentanta and/or his brother to make it to the side consistently?.

Simple answer is for carlos is a big YES. Our best 22 seems to have improved but they are still unproven. Carlos not only provides structure for us, but a nice amount of X factor too.

As for Aisake, id imagine he'd be hard to beat in the ruck when he's up an running. And skills are better than carlos' too.

Carlos was there every week this past year .. he is sucessful both up back and up forward

Can't comment on Aisake .. haven't had the privelege of seeing him play ... but given that he's been elevated, and given the depth of talent on the list, it might be an ask

define success p12, afaic he hasn't been sucessful at either end of the ground, I believe Aisake will be the better player, but not until 09'.

IMHO success = being able to keep Monga quiet AND back up with, how many goals? He's a great player for the amount of time he's been in the league .. I just hope Aisake can be as good, or better

Interesting reading in Kouta's book about how the ÓhAilpín boys always came to him for advice, training tips, etc etc

They have the wherewithall .. they have the determination .. I remember seeing Carlos going real hard on himself when stuffing up bad (one of the few times he's failed up front - against the Swines he let his guard down and smacked the floor, and instead of lining up B1H simply ran it in .. stupid B1H) .. and going hard in the celebratory air-pumping when he slotted it

There's lots of learning to be done .. I hope they can afford to allow them to develop in the Seniors

I think Santa should be a certainty every year... as long as you've been good.

Do you rate any Carlton players? :P

You didn't rate Kennedy.

And now you say Aisake will be a better player than Setanta when he hasn't even played a game. :?

I think Aisake will struggle to make a fist of a career now that we have Hampson and Kreuzer on the primary list.

A 6'4"(?) wild Irishman that runs like the wind, leaps like a gazelle with a lion on it's hammer, has a bordering on psychotic desire to make the most of this opportunity no matter what the cost and loves the Blues like he's one of us tragics?

Yeah, why would you give him a rum?

Setanta did enough by making Lloyd pack his dacks last year to get himself into the starting 22 this year.

Aisaike and K-Dogg are going to have to fight to the death in the Pit to see who will be chief ruckman this year...

...should be good to watch. :)

On Setanta............... YES!

he has to play down back. I don't see his as a forward, he does not have the smarts to play there, gets in the way, does not know when to lead. I know it for sure Fev would prefer Setanta play down back.

I thought he looked his best down back. has fantastic closing speed, is fearless, is unpredictable. Setanta needs a task so playing on a forward and shutting him down suits him where as up forward he needs to think more.

No offence, but this is kind of a redundant question.

It is really up to Setanta and whether he steps up to the plate as to whether there is room.

If he earns a spot, he will get one.
