One of the best games I'd been to for a long time. http://www.afl.com.au/Default.aspx?tabi ... wsId=54485 |

Emotional rollercoaster that one, i took a scum mate of mine that day and at quarter time i was already regretting it. That last quarter was so intense i was sitting at the end where Essendon* were kicking to in the last and i remember one of the last pieces of play was when someone (lloyd?) chipped it into the forward line in hirds direction...everything was in slow motion...waiting for some trademark hirdy brilliance. The ball went over his head and we cleared it. That game had a bit of everything... |

Carlton v Brisbane at the Dome would be a chance for that top 10 wouldn't it? |

The one we lost but it was a high scoring and skillful game? Or the NAB Cup when there were 45k Carlton supporters making the atmosphere sensational? ![]() |

Who can ever forget Monga's dumb little irish jig after he kicked a goal in the second quarter... Setanta got him back a beauty by selling him some candy a quarter later... He who laughs last, laughs best!!! |

It didn’t matter where they lined up from, Brisbane’s players couldn’t miss with set shots from the boundary, snaps in traffic and long-range bombs all splitting the big sticks.

He who laughs last, laughs best!!! Yes, Lloyd showed his true 'captain' character at that moment. If a Carlton player did that, I'd die of embarassment. Still, it showed how effectively Setanta got to him that day. Lloyd might've kicked five goals that day, but I still think they were mostly soft and O'hAlpin beat him on the day. The game itself was superb, and I must've watched it a dozen times. |

QFT - a lot of Essendon*'s early running was in no small part due to having 21 v 18 for much of the first half. But shit that was an awesome comeback. And McVeigh's mark wasn't. Still filthy on that. ![]() |

Fair point after I just posted some comments on a few Richmond videos. ![]() I was half way through making another highlight package of the whole game the other day (there were so many highlights and great individual efforts in this match) and lost it all. ![]() Fev's chase and run down on Lovett in the second quarter was brilliant. |

a friend and i went to that game with 3 Essendon* supporters. halfway through the 2d quarter we were fed up with the shit they were giving us they were just hammering us so went outside to have a kick. we came back for the third quarter and returned the favour with interest. the drive home back to craigieburn took about 15 minutes and not a word was spoken! probably the best game i've ever been too. |

In the first quarter and a half we flatly refused to run. I couldn't believe what I saw from the Great Southern Stand, just total inability to man up and run. Then we scored three late goals in the second quarter and presto. Fevola's game was magical, and even still I can think of many things we did to lose the game. Waite tackled 50 out Punt Road End in defense Members side and didn't get the hand pass away, umpire called play on. Waite mark Southern Stand Side Punt Road End and ran to inside 50 only to get run down. Carazzo, Walker and Murphy all missing shots Punt Road End that were better than 50 50 in the last quarter. Fevola mark 20 out Punt Road End, Stevens on the run pass receives the handball and snaps on left foot and hits the post. On the flip side we did many many good things, Fevola and Scotland played well, I particularly liked Scotland's marking in defense this game, and it was great to watch a magical Blues win. |
