I know it makes the other 15 sides puke and the super intelligent filth supporters that call SEN come up with pearlers like this: "As for Chris Judd, you can have him!!!" ![]() We certainly will. ![]() |

The popular belief seems to be that to have a chance of winning the brownlow, you have to be playing for a successful team to get the maggot's to notice you. So should we consider these odds an ADMISSION??? ![]() |

So should we consider these odds an ADMISSION??? ![]() Was thinking that. If Judd was to win the Brownlow we will play finals - no doubt about it. Who was the last Brownlow winner not to play in a finals side? If the bookies are installing Judd as the Brownlow medal favourite, then you'd either be stupid to back him or any long odds of us winning games this year might be a good pay off; they can't be mutually exclusive. |

Hang on! If I was an umpire and I saw Koutoufides dominate a game, get 30 odd possessions and 2 or 3 goals I would also give the votes to someone who got 10 possessions and did nothing. It makes sense to me. ![]() |

I know it was a rhetorical question, but I wanted to see anyway... 1999 - Shane Crawford, Hawthorn 1995 - Paul Kelly, Sydney Swans 1990 - Tony Liberatore, Footscray 1988 - Gerard Healy, Sydney Swans 1987 - Tony Lockett, St Kilda (shared with John Platten, Hawthorn) 1984 - Peter Moore, Melbourne 1982 - Brian Wilson, Melbourne 1981 - Barry Round, South Melbourne (shared with Bernie Quinlan, Fitzroy) 1980 - Kelvin Templeton, Footscray That's enough. So, it's been 8 seasons since a non-finalist has won the Browlnlow. But 3 times in the 90s and 5 times in the 80s a non-finalist won a Brownlow medal. Is it too early to say it's a trend? Or are the maggots just too one eyed these days? |

Or are the maggots just too one eyed these days? I had a multi bet on the Brownlow trying to get the leading vote getter at each club. Watching the count I was amazed at how often one club would clean sweep the votes...even when the games were tight. I think through the 80's and 90's the losing club would still poll either the 1 or 2 votes a lot more often than was the case this season. Whether thats by direct instruction or not who knows? |

Interesting that Stevens is at $41. Obviously the bookies expect him to have a big year now he's not getting the best tagger every week. ![]() |
