Twelve months ago I was absolutely despondent at the state of our once mighty club. As far as I could see, we were staring right down the barrell. Survival was the best case scenario. Now that Richard has righted the ship, the sky is the limit. Thank you Mr Pratt. Thank you for coming to the aid of something that I hold as dear to my heart as a family member. The last twelve months will never be forgotten. |

To Richard Pratt. You have not just put money into the Carlton Football Club. You have put back the pride and dignity back into this football club. In the space of one year - you have once again given this club a strength of character to deal with all the issues it faces - that is positively with dignity and strength of character which is a hallmark of the true Carlton Football Club. As a member of over 30 years standing - I want to thank you - and give you all the support that I can give. You indicated you would stay for a 2 year term - and I sincerely hope you stay for that term (if not longer). There are certain 'journalists' and I use the term loosely that are campaigning for you to step down. Their views carry no weight (unlike their own portly frames) - and are couched in blind jealousy and hypocracy, and more importantly fear of the resurrected Carlton Football Club. You have given the club back its pride and strength - you should draw on this to stay on for your nominated term. PLEASE STAY ON!!!! THE MEMBERS WILL SUPPORT YOU. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

The club was in absolute turmoil 12 months ago, with no foreseeable light at the end of the tunnel. Just the smell of your presence enlightened the hearts of so many, and no-one will ever forget the feeling of the day you were announced President of the Greatest club in the world. If anyone said that in 12 months time, the Carlton Football Club will have the best CEO, the best player, the best junior player, the largest profit and whatnot, people would've called you crazy. The great flow on affect you've had on this club will never be topped, and we all appreciate all you've done for this club in the past, what you're doing with the club presently, and what you will continue to do in the future.' 'Thank you' just doesn't do justice to what you've done to this club. Keep up the great work, and good luck in the future, whatever it is you choose to do, we all know you'll be successful at it. |

Thank you Mr Pratt. In 2002, on Black Friday I was overseas and devastated by the news of the unprecedented penalties imposed on our club by the AFL. At the time, I was hurt but I had no doubt we'd get back up and fight our way through this mess. But by 2006. I felt we were rudderless, that there was no white knight, that the penalties were the death of us. Regardless, we all continued to fight on and try to devise plans and take small steps collectively to move us forward. Admitedly the task looked daunting, but at no stage did any Carlton supporter lose faith, or at least their passion for our club; but we lived in fear. I knew we had a rich history and an unmatched passion for our club, but no idea what our fate was ahead whilst it was in the hands of the AFL. Then you Mr Pratt arrived. Open arms in reach to all Carlton supporters, with a united board behind you. Together in sync, we all rose from the depths of despair and each one of us took a piece of the breath of life you gave us. Today we are once again proud and live every day knowing we will all continue to be part of the same united family called Carlton. So huge was the belief, we broke our record for memberships, we attracted big sponsorships and we know we have a young list and coach who are proud to be on the journey to take this proud club to the top of the tree. Thankyou for breathing life back into our club Mr Pratt. We stand behind you, beside you and with you, once again, with pride. |

the day Richard Pratt returned to the club as president reminded of the day my parents bought our first ever colour T.V. ... all of a sudden everything looked clearer, sharper, brighter ... that is how I see the club today compared to 12 months ago. Getting Judd was like sending a message to every other club ... like we were saying how dare they even think they could enter the race for Juddy's signature ... no one was ever going to beat Richard Pratt for the signature of Chris Judd. We owe alot to Richard Pratt. |

Twelve months ago it is conceivable that we could have been in the firing line for a move North. I was despondent about the future of our great club. Certainly 12 months ago we wouldn't have got Judd and probably not Hadley. Thanks Mr Pratt as someone who cares about the future of our club I appreciare all other people who feel likewise. |

Its more than just "thanks Richard" I am sure that all carlton supporters are aware that Ricahrd Pratt didnt have to become involved with the club and devote his time once again - and at the highest level. It shows that he is not only a true blue supporter but that he cant help himself when it comes to the carlton football club. I hope the club recognises this in some permanent way. for example a player award to compliment the john Nichols medal: The Pratt medal for the most courageous and passionate player |

Mr Pratt, Your mere presence around our great club is striking a fear amongst other clubs, the AFL, opposition supoorters and journalists across the AFL community that hasn't been seen for a decade or more. Thats precisely what it is - FEAR. Fear that our mighty club is back on its feet, fear that our mightly club is beginning a new dynasty that will produce the kind of success we expect, fear that we will not only once again be the strongest club on field, but also off field. There is little they can do to stop us on field now. The pieces are in place. Judd, Kreuzer, Murphy, Gibbs, Walker, Simpson, Stevens, Fevola. They need to bring us down a peg or two off field so the best option they have is to take away the man who has brought this all together. The man who delivered Greg Swann, and in turn the support staff that was needed to not only bring this great club off its knees, but have it standing on its own two feet, ready to take on and overtake the power clubs of the AFL. Let's not allow these single minded fools to do that to us, to you. You deserve to see this thing out, finish what you've begun, be standing over this club when you're ready to hand over the reigns, proud of where we are. Don't let them deviate the momentum thats carried us from being a rabble to being on the verge of something great. You have our FULL support!! P.S - If you stay on Deano Supremo and Kaptain Kouta will come down and mow your lawns. |

Strong leadership was lacking for years, and Richard Pratt brought that and a new found confidence to Carlton to restore it to its rightful place as one of the AFL's foremost clubs. On field success will follow, but until then Richard's work is not done. Therefore I hope he stays around for a while longer yet to continue to lead us out of the wilderness of the last six years. |

Thanks Mr Pratt for putting a strut back in my walk, the oppertunity to brag and boast about our fantastic club and how good we are going to be very soon. The club is such a different place to be around now, there is optomism and pride in the air and it's speading far and wide even down here at Graceland!!! |

Sir Richard, you have always been their behind the scenes "bleeding" Navy Blue, I for one thank you from my deepest for coming to the for front when needed most and putting the club back to where it belongs. I hope you stay for as long as you want and certaintly long enough to enjoy your fruits of labor. The CFC army will always be in debt to you for the decades of support you have show to the club. You will always be remembered a "great" Carlton man if not the greatest. |
