Hey guys, I just received the e-mail which informed me that the 2008 memberships are now available.

What I am having trouble deciding is whether to go for the Gold Standard or Gold Premium. I want reserved seating but what is better, reserved seating at L1 or L2/L3. I don't know which is better since I've always been on level 2 and 3.

What are you guys going for Silver, Gold or Gold Premium??

Thanks.

I usually go for silver myself, as I don't get to go to many games, so not a lot of point getting the premium stuff.

I'd say level 2-3 would be better, but I can only guess because plebs like me never get to sit there ;)

I also have a question. My wife is joining as a member for the first time. We are both going for Gold Premium. How can we ensure that we sit together. We both added it as a note in the section where it asked us for our preferred seating. Do you think that will suffice or should I ring the club just in case?

As you as you send in your membership forms stapled together (and written on the forms as you said), you'll be fine.

For an extra $57 per adult or $129 for Family the Gold Premium is worth getting over the Gold Standard I reckon - especially if you can snag L2 at TDome and N Section at MCG. I've had Gold standard last few years and although L1 is ok, L2 views are much better IMO.

We actually did it online tonight. Did it as soon as we saw the memberships on sale. We were bloody excited!

Well I ended up deciding on the Silver Membership. I wanted Premium Gold, but its pushing my budget out. So I settled for silver.

Hopefully I don't miss out on Round 1 against the Tigers... Coz it says only members with reserved seating are guaranteed a seat incase of sellouts.

Love the MCC upgrade option. Happy with that.

Great to see they've moved the social club seating at the G as well, that's been a long time coming.

And re seating - Level 2 at the dome is the best view, worst atmosphere.

Level 1 in the social club area isn't too bad. Will be interesting to see how the atmosphere is at the dome if we actually win a few games. Last year's Brisbane game wasn't bad in that regard.

The clubs done well with the membership packages this year, the online presence is professional and seemingly bug free (as compared to the accenture based offerings of the past... yech).

Funny thing is........................ i actually prefer to stand, most of the time.

I Love it!

But if i was to sit: level 2 at the MCG and level 1 at the Dome.

I had a quick look and found nothing.
Thanks.

I just have a query with the away reserved seats. I am guessing by the price you have to buy the 18 game membership on top of the reserved seat add-on?

Also good to see that the kids get a big flag with their membership...will be good to see more of a representation

Page 5 - "long distance member 5 - $111 - it appears to be a 5 game package, not sure of other details.

Just had a very helpful conversation with Membership. The away reserved seat option buys you a reserved seat for the 7 away games in Melbourne. This does not buy you entry to the venue. So if you buy an 11 game membership, and then get the away reserved seat add-on, you still need to pay an entry fee to the venue.

The seating map for at least the MCG is incorrect. Seating in the northern stand for gold members is still available for renewing and new members. Expect to see a new correct version soon. This is a great relief for me as I love by M50 seats at the G.
