Off season topic..

Mine was about 1972 and Dad took me to te MCG for Carl Vs Richmond game, not a huge crowd, my only clear memory of it was watching Syd Jackson, I was blown away by how fast he was and the level of excitement in the crowd went up when Syd got the ball. I was 7.

Yours?

It was the 1982 Grand Final and I was seven. Carlton v Richmond. I decided to myself that whoever won the game was going to be the team that I supported. This was lucky... Carlton has given me six bad years and 20 great years in that time... Richmond would have given me 26 bad years.

i'd been to a few games before this but the first game i can remember going to was craig bradley's 300th game. it was at waverley park (the only time i ever went there) and we were playing hawthorn. i remember asking my dad where the guys who talk were (the commentators) as i was expecting to hear them and i remember them giving us free little soft footies for every coke we bought and then i played with those footies for at least the next 3 or 4 years. anyway, i'm pretty sure we ended up winning comfortably and my highlight of that day was kouta kicking a goal. i too was 7 y.o.

Not sure, but think it was at Princes Park against Richmond? when Big Nick got out of jail.
The crowd was yelling out "jailbird" every time he went near the ball.
I remember Bruce Comben playing.

My first memory of watching on tele was the 79 GF. I remember how excited my brother was more than anything.

My first memory of being there was a night gf against Richmond in the early 80's, and seeing a fight in the crowd nearby.

First game on tv 68 Grand Final and Tiger Crosswell blitzed them - straight out of school in Launceston.

First game live - 72 Grand Final along with my high school footy team from Tassie and 120,000 others!

My earliest Carlton memory is climbing over the fence at Princes Park while I was a student at Princes Hill Practising Rural School aged about 8-9
and then receiving my first strap over the hands when I was caught. Memories of Ern Henfrey, "Chicken" Howell and Bert Deacon.

As far as TV goes the Stan Magro shirtfront knocking out Jezza would be one of my earliest memories.

First live game was in '81 v Hawthorn at Princes Park. I remember Ashman streaming out of the middle hitting McConville on the chest over and over and over again. At least that's what it seemed like that day.
I am not 100% sure but I think the Buzz got reported for striking Don Scott?? Blues won by plenty ofcourse.

My uncle took me to the G to watch us play Richmond. I knocked back a trip to Soverign Hill with my parents to do so!

Not only did we win but my cousin & I got on the footy replay for about two seconds when the ball went out of bounds right in front of us.

I also remember buying a Carlton flogger & it was bloody loud once it got going.

A lot of people remember Jon Dorotich for exposing himself to an off-duty nurse in the Princes Park car park
