The first step in redemption with the masses is to provide accurate information. Well done Melvey, this is a giant step in your re-branding. ![]() |

Not much revealed. The boys spoke to him about his drafting history at Fremantle, he was responsible for selecting Clive waterhouse!!! He redeemed himself with selecting hasleby and Pavlich and said Polak was touted as number but did not turn out right. He was looking at Patty Ryder. |

We can only hope. I suspect the 'bogans and no-shows' to spring to Smith's defence. After all, it's not as though Pratt isn't the devil incarnate ![]() |

Got my computer link working just in time. I think that the most interesting thing that he said was that he thought Josh Kennedy was the best player in his draft but he thought he would last until pick 4 while he knew Murphy wouldn't. At pick 4 he knew he would have a choice between Kennedy and Ryder. |

Better than Murphy, Pendlebury? That's a big call, and if it comes true, then we've given up a fair bit for Judd. Kinda really hoping that JK has a good solid 150game+ career, but doesn't go on to make us regret that trade. |

It was said at the time when Denis tried Setanta in the foward line. my opinion is JK will go on and have a stellar career with the eagles, tall forwards like him don't grow on trees and they so lucky to get him. |

Without a doubt one of the greatest drafting coups of all time. |

That worries me in two ways, the fact that we were willing to give him up and also the possibility that Hughes was wrong and that he goes on to make further 'mistakes'. It's a stupid thing for him to say if you ask me. ![]() ![]() |

the judd deal better work out for us now after reading that, we've no longer got an up and coming young KP forward and it's probably cost us cotchin plus our 2nd round pick. i really really hope we don't end up regretting this trade in about 5 years. i'm not saying we will but i'm just hoping we won't. |

My hope is that we can someone how get him back. I'll second that. You never know - he did say afterwards that he was looking forward to playing his whole career with his mates at Carlton. Hawthorn got Croad back. Kennedy is worth more than Croad. Just needs a dummy-spit from JK, followed by," I'm not happy here - send me backk to Carlton or I'll go PSD." |
