I'm going to Europe next year and I'm stressing that its going to cost me at least $8000 plus spending money. $12,000 to go to SA, see one game of footy and go on a Safari is daylight robbery ![]() |

12k? In a country where it costs you about $1 for a beer and $10 for a massive steak dinner? Sheesh, someones making a quid. Sun City is a rip off. Very average resort where tourists pay 3 times what the locals pay. That is a rip off. |

its business class though a quick check - qantas $7784 or sinagpore airlines $5828 + 5 star accommodation - it adds up pretty quick |

South Africa was mentioned a few months ago. I thought we were going to play a NAB Cup game there, against Fremantle from memory. I wonder why that didnt come through. edit: ok, I didn't read the e-mail. There is a game against Fremantle, but I did think it was going to be a NAB Cup game. |

Yeah it's expensive... but remember this. Has the Club been good at doing this sort of stuff before? From my understanding the answer is no. So well done to them for sensing an opportunity and organising something like this. And perhaps it will suit some of our well-heeled supporters to go and watch the game. A great initiative I say! |

$12,000? Geez... that's shocking. I don't know if they should be ripping fans off like that... |

They are not "ripping off fans". This is aimed at the corporate sponsors, and includes Business Class Airfares, 5 star accommodation, meals and an overnight safari. Sounds like a great offer for those lucky enough to be in a position to take it up. |

Caz makes a very good point. I received the email because I'm the "corporate" list on account of our player sponsorship involvement. So this email did not go out to the regular members email database as far as I can tell. And, erm, even though $12K is a lot of money, wouldn't we be just s critical if the club did this at a loss?! ![]() |

If it was Ireland i'd so be going. We should SERIOUSLY look into that tho, before Eddie Maguire aka knob face does. Carlton Vs Sydney in Dublin in 2009 |
