This bloke has finally gone to far.

Comparing Dick Pratt to Tony Mokbel, what a lowlife scumbag.

John Elliot tried to have a logical conversation with him that degenerated into a personal attack on Elliot and his past.

Great radio.

Mark,

I agree - can we change the title of this thread to highlight how low this guy has gone & to start a genuine protest against what he is attempting to do to our brand.

I intend to contact the club and SEN and lodge my strongest possible objections to what this guy has done.

John Elliot represented Dick Pratt and Carlton with professionalism and dignity.

Once JE attacked Smith for comparing D Pratt to Mokbel Smith then changed tack and compared D Pratt to Adler.

JE went in to bat for Pratt again stating that the comparison was outrageuos as Adler was a convicted criminal how had served goal time. D Pratt was fouind guilty of civil offence.

Smith attacked JE to which JE responded I knew you'd go done that line.

Hopefully D Pratt's lawyers take action over this.

I will attempt to get a link or a transcript to what was said.

FATPRICK IS A FULL ON WANKA!

from the way he rambles you'd think pratt was saddam hussein?!

Basically if the guy has not been convicted just fined, it means he can legally still be a director in any company ie if bhp billiton were looking for a new director or board member legally he can take on that position - ASIC's laws!

if it's good enough for asic fatprick its good enough for the afl!!!

The best way to protest is to not listen.

I am not upset because I don't listen to him. He does nothing for me.

Just like all those old grannies who complained that they viewed Newman's penis on the Footy Show, these people must have been sitting there with a magnify glass as I didn't see anything that resembled a penis??? Maybe a tic tac but not a trouser snake.

Switch off if he disturbs you and makes you angry.

I have had enough of that fat moron..

This is what I sent in an email

Good Morning

What is Patrick Smiths problem with Carlton and Dick Pratt ?

How dare he compare Dick Pratt to Tony Mokbel..... I really do hope that Pratt sues his arse for 'Libel'. Has he nothing better to report. He is carrying on like a spoilt teenager in a playground brawl over the footy, maybe he has been reading Big Footy because he is carrying on like a school kid rather than a professional journalist he is MEANT to be.

Dick Pratt has done nothing but good for Carlton and the AFL in general, how the hell has he bought the game in disrepute. Business error aside which he has been convicted of and is paying the penalty for has nothing to do with Carlton. Cousins on the other hand has cast a doubt on all AFL players including the WestCoast Eagles. Where is the similarity here.

I am sick of that miserable idiot bagging my club and Dick Pratt. I really do hope something does come of this, but you probably as a station enjoy this passion coming from Carlton supports complaints as it means we are listening and giving you ratings. Tell you what we would listen a lot more if we did not need to listen to him. I for one turn the radio off when he comes on.

Agreed, you are all playing into his hands.

He will go home laughing and happy that he has upset Carlton supporters again.

Get strong people. Hard'in the Flower Up!!!

The fact he talks Carlton all the time shows he really loves us deep down.

Sorry guys,

not thin skinned at all. I'm not suggesting let Patrick know.

I am proposing that we complain to SEN, boycotting their station etc will have a direct impact on Smith.

He compared our president to a murderer.

That is stepping over the line.

He writes for the lowest circulating daily metro newspaper in Australia - and commentates on one of the lowest rating radio stations in Melbourne - I would suggest he has been boycotted already.

I agree with you there Bob, but I do think that comparing Pratt to Mokbel is defamation and can't be taken too lightly.

I won't give him the satisfaction of getting a rise out of me, (not to mention the fact that he is a joke, that doesn't even deserve a response, albeit a nasty one  ) instead I will just refuse to listen to him/read his rubbish in future.

A few journo's need to be put back in their place with all this sensationalistic crap that they keep rolling out when they are struggling for a story. I seriously think that some of them are starting to sound like a hybrid of Alan Jones, John Laws and Derryn Hinch.

Suprise, suprise, all these morons have fallen foul of the law on more than one occasion.

Agro,

I agree and generally don't hear what he has to say. I choose not to listen or read anything he says.

Nonetheless, some people do read his crap and some (mostly tigers supporters) listen to him on KB's show.

He has invited his listeners to compare our President to a murderer. John Elliot's reaction showed exactly what an outrageous claim Smith was making.

Complaining will not do anything. He has upset 1/16th of AFL supporters. Supporters of the other 15 teams would be loving it. Ratings boost for SEN. "Lets extend his contract", SEN management would be saying.

For SEN Management this stuff would be "mana from heaven" - and would only be a tick in the "extend Fatprick's contract" column.

I hate the turds guts - and I reckon if it can be established that he said what he said - that Fatprick will be apologizing shortly.

I heard the whole thing, and what struck me the most is the fact that Smith does not handle contrary opinions and criticism well. Any time he was questioned on his view, he would cut the caller off, and if that didn't work, would shout over the top of the caller. He is just a bully and should be igonored. The first caller this morning handled him the best, treating Patrick how he treats dissenting callers, talking over the top of him and then making a personal attack about Essendon* fortunes. Well done to whoever you are! I think he actually silenced Patrick for a moment, no easy feat.

I know he said it on SEN but boycotting the rag that he writes for is an option too.

One thing that could be done is for Carlton to ban Fatprick. So no interviews or info from any player or administrator no access to any presser etc.
