Yeah I did,
but due to Queensland being the only place (almost) on non daylight savings time I was cooking my dinner, so didn't take it in all that well. But it was a fairly lengthy (probably 5-8 minutes) interview with Sarah Jones. Here are some of my vague recollections:
- great to have such a marketable player as Judd at the club
- easily the biggest deal (Hyundai) that he has been involved with in football. Bigger than any of the Collingwood sponsorships which he had worked on
- really pleased to be associated with a company such as Hyundai
- very exciting offseason, with Judd, the sponsorship, and the number one draft pick in a fortnight (repeated this a heap of times in the interview)
- has been told Kreuzer is an excellent young man, but the recruiting team will make the final choice, and there were obviously a couple of others in the mix
- Club fully supports Richard Pratt
- Kangaroos have a tough decision about whether or not to go to the Gold Coast. Hopes they make the best decision for their future - but they do have a really small membership in Melbourne (read between the lines on that one)
- We definitely are hoping for 40,000+ members
- Oh... probably the most important one... time for the Club to start winning games now. The offseason is right, and the onfield performance needs to catch up!
Others will probably have a better overview than me. As I said, I was a little distracted. But it was generally a very upbeat interview.
