Up late with work, and just had a thought. So I thought I'd post it. I wonder if any of you recall trade week 2004. Everyone was of the belief that the club had performed exceptionally that year (considering the talent on our list). But come trade week, we were disappointed we couldn't land anyone significant. There was lots of talk, of course, but nothing eventuated. And many expressed the concern that while 10 wins was a significant achievement, it may be harmful to our future prospects as our list was in dire need of talent. But imagine being told, at the end of trade week, that we had secured Chris Judd, and the number 1 draft pick in the next three drafts. |

Yeah. I don't think many people would've believed you if you had told them three years ago we would get the next three number 1 draft picks, but there would've been a few keen to get Judd who wouldn't have ruled out that possibility. |
