Plenty of compliments coming this guy's way at the moment regarding his attitude and approach to the pre-season. I think we've all heard the 2.83 20 metre result.

I've heard whispers of a 'great' beep test also. Anyone able to report what he did?

He looks a likely type. Raw as hell, but his effort, work ethic and development is fantastic. I'm a big fan. :)

The Hammer Phenomena

Raw as he may be, I bet enthusiasm and athletic prowess will serve him well...he has an edge.

Can't wait to see a new rotating ruck combo of:

Ruck: Hampson
FP: Kruezer
Int: Aisake

...to replace the short and slow combo of:

Ruck: Ackland
FP: Cloke
Emerg: McLaren

in 2008.

Give 'em all a go. Nothing to lose. They're raw and raring to rumble.

He finished it.

Seriously though, at 200cm anything in double figures is damn good. Anything above 12 would be great. 14+ would be sensational.

Hampson
Kruezer
Zeke

The jury is still obviously out on what sort of tap-ruckmen they'll make, but these three will create the most athletic rucking combination ever seen in the AFL.

If you're not excited by this, you're dead.

All a bit like Greg Dear at the moment - skinny beanpoles...

We need someone to take on the bang crash ruckmen for this year - and even if Ackland doesn't provide a contest, at least the opposition ruckman might take him out.

17.7... obviously 1AW hasn't been spending his break on the couch.

Sounds like the boys are approaching this pre-season with a fair bit of fire in their collective belly.

This is good :) Very good.

screw ackland, go with cloke far far far better option as he atleast does crash and bash, but i get your joke of ackland getting tajen out.

ackland does sweet FA.

i'd be happy with cloke in combo with any two of the bean poles in the ones one could play up forward if you wanted two of them on the ground at once.

then Ackland and the third bean pole can work in tandem in the magoos.

that way they are all getting decent ground time and stretching oppisition backlines while not in the ruck.

cloke provides the cover.

Just wondering if anybody is still pissed off that we selected him before Jetta!

I Aint!

The recruiting department got "Hammered" (pun intended) for that last year!

My biggest concern is finding a way to fit in Hampson, Aisakie and Kreuzer into the same senior team. They're all too good NOT to have in the 22.

Kreuzer is too good NOT to play in the ruck.
Hampson is too effective with taps not to play in the ruck.
Aisakie wins damn near everything but needs to concerntrate on taps to advantage, but again - Must play in the ruck.

Both Aisakie and Kreuzer will be most effective when they are playing as a Ruck/Rover.

Anybody got any ideas?

I think Beckham has managed to complete the beep test (score of 21) and so has Lance Armstrong

I read somewhere the Beckham one is not true and he really scored in the 16s. David Spriggs when he was at Geelong I heard would have completed it as he was doing it easy but had to stop because his feet were burning!
