Not sure if this has been mentioned already but ....Did anyone listen to sports today today and that cow caroline wilson making fun of kouta????

I am a very passive listener/follower of columns - i have been reading this forum for at least 3 years, have only joined recently and hardly ever posted - but this freak really p....sed me off today to the point where i repeatedly tried to call and give it to her to no avail....engaged line

Regardless of what kouta wrote or said he is an icon/legend of our club and has earned some kudos/brownie points to make such statements

for a cow like her to dis him Grrrrrrrrrrrr

And here is the written version of the old cows ramblings:

Believe it or not she is bashing us again, but there is a lot of truth is what she has said. You be the judge!

As usual, her comments are spot on. Since when is telling the truth "bashing"? And why should Kouta and others not cop criticism for their roles in it all?

Kouta put Carlton's recent past back on the agenda, Caro is just giving her take on it, just like every other journo and opposition supporter has a right to do. Caro is not the person at fault.

Didn't hear her on radio but that article is spot on IMO.

Agreed - I love Kouta, but this little book incident has been an ugly insight into the selfish side of his nature IMO.

I actually like Caro
She is over negative at times . Thats why I like her

Kouta shouldnt have any Browny Points

She is right on the money.

And her comments on the radio yesterday about Nick Stevens were spot on as well.

Lets hope Stevo is off the piss and tucked up in the cot before 11 most nights. No good slanging off the coach when your meant to be a professional athlete yet half cut somewhere at 3 in the morning

At least we got rid of his partner in crime

A few other 'senior' players better lift their act next year as well.

The new professional Blues have arrived

A cow is such a beautiful and wonderful creature and gives us milk for children and babies to drink and milk for our cappuccinos and caffe lattes.

Yes a cow is a such a wonderful thing.

The article was harsh, maybe overly so. But when Kouta wrote his book, he had to expect this sort of reaction from the football media.
I think the charge isnt that he was dishonest, because I am sure everything in his book was genuine. Just that he overlooked and ommitted things that reflected badly on he and his teammates. If you are going to write a book to "set the record straight" people are going to question the things you leave out.

I hope this is the end of it. I hope Kouta thinks the $30k he makes is worth the trouble

YeaH all Caro has done is put everything into its correct context.
Kouta pointing fingers .. but he never looked at what his role was in us being THAT shit.

Boy he hated Collo for getting some contracts under control didnt he? I wonder how Kouta believed the club would be under the salary cap when it was way over?

Didnt Kouta care?
Alot of players make sacrifices financally at some point... Koutas contract should have allowed Kouta to make a sacrifice easier than most on behalf of the team.

Also imagine saying "Collo didnt rate us"... 3 wooden spoons in 5 years Kouta... should Collo have paved your path with rose petals ??

These are unbelievable.... no wonder we were shit!!!... but then again we knew why we were shit...!!!.. bt to have it come out of the second worst of all time captain's mouth is perplexing.

Anyway.. ike i keep saying.... im glad that whole sorry episde is finally behind us.

QFT.

He should have waited a couple of years before releasing the book. I reckon I know the reason behind why the book has come out now.....

The final paragraph is precise and exact:
Caro wrote:
But football and life teach us that no one person is responsible for success or failure, and if the Carlton push still believed that Pagan was the root of all its problems, then it is clueless.

Good point. People like Robert Walls have their name up on the Carlton Foundation chart at Princes Park for giving their own money from 2002-07 to get the club back on track - I can't remember seeing Kouta's name on that list.

Caro made some good points. Kouta took more than he gave. What we need going forward are people that put the team before personal gratification - we need moral soldiers of the highest order.

Kouta had 2 All-Australian years yet was earning more than Riccuito who had about 8 All-Australian years... but according to Kouta the club "owed" him that extra money.

I will never forget what Kouta did 1992-2001 - but all up he took more than what he gave.

The truth hurts too much around here.

Yes, she has no real love for us, but this has not tainted this article and I've hated her Carlton sledging over they years, too.

I have to agree with the sentiment of above posters. I thought the article was pretty much spot on.

Was feeling a little blue about, but then read the JR article and felt much better.

that won't stop him from hanging around with him though. if anything, it'll be even worse for him if they do hang out coz lance's got no responsibilty to the club and can do whatever he likes. i suggest stevo should just cut his ties with lance until his career is over because if he really commits himself (like he did last pre-season) he will help take this club back up to the top.
