The board is closer to selling a home game interstate as early as next year. Perth is the favoured option.
Must be decided soon because requests for next year's roster close this month.
Club reckons it would be worth at least $400,000.

Thanks for the scoop kenny.

Interesting, if we were due to play 2 games there next year anyway it might be a good move.

wow. I know it was inevitable & I know that I get to watch 17 games a year & blah blah blah but I can't believe we've had to go the way of the 'lesser' AFL clubs to make a buck.

When will we be a powerhouse again

WOW!! This will be looked at both positively and negatively I'm sure, but it's all just opinion. I don't mind the fact we're trying to broaden our membership base by playing 'home' games interstate & making some extra cash but I would've preferred Adelaide.
Thanks for the scoop kenny.
:)

Hmm Fremantle for a chance of winning or West Coast for a full house and more money?

It's good that it's in Perth, where we have higher support than most clubs that travel there, instead of Tasmania or Canberra..

We will get a near full house against either WA club , particularly if its our home game and us Perth fans get choices of seats etc -

It would be awesome to be at Subi and have more blues fans there than the shockers or weagles.

Its an awesome atmosphere sitting in the blues section at Subi , there are heaps of blues fans here in Perth and i am sure we would all make it a success for the club having a home game over here.

I know I should be upset that this is on the cards from a club perspective, but from a purely selfish point of view I can't really say I'm too disappointed ;)

Brisbane and Sydney still both on the cards but Perth more likely because of our strong supporter base.

Don't scoff at Tassie - the State Government pays St Kilda and Hawthorn about $400,000 to play in Lonnie ...

I think that is a well educated decision. We have great support over there and it will bring alot of well neeeded cash in to the club.

We should of been doing this for three years or so already.........

Every kid in my town in Tassie barracked for the blues! (for those who don't know there's a poster on here that also grew up in my home town of George Town)

It'd be a sellout for sure....

Look, we're shit at just about everything so lets make some $ to get ahead. Has it harmed st kilda? Has it harmed Hawthorn? Perth is a cracking option for our supporter base - 2000 members in WA. Now thats loyalty - not like all these fake change-a-team Eagles fans.

Speaking from a very biased Perth Carlton supporter point of view that would be pretty cool :-D it might mean i could actually buy a membership that could get me in to see them (this year i had to borrow a friend's Eagles members tickets)

Not exactly sure how it would work though... would that mean 2 games at subi in 1 weekend?

May be a reason for Perth is the WA influence of recruits - Blackwell, Kennedy, Bower, and maybe Gumbleton/Jetta/Collard?

At least the $800K from 2 games would go a long way towards paying out Pagan the rest of his contract and getting a new coach on board..
