No i missed it.................. but they asked him about another West coast Eagles player that is a big possibility to make it to Carlton via the PSD. Apparently Swann played dumb.

But then Brian Waldron (Storm CEO) said that his sources say that it's Embly!

WTF?

This rumour has been getting some legs latley.

KB's sure of it.
The ox is sure of it,
Waldrons sure of it.
Niel Balme said he'd heard something similar.

????????????????????

Waldron seems very confident Embley will come to the Blues via the PSD. Swann was coy about it but didn't deny it. Deflected the question to third man.

This could be the icing on the already iced cake  .

Yes I heard Waldron go on about Embley as well. He sounded pretty convinced that we'd get him. I guess he'd have some decent mail considering he spends most of his time down at Royal Parade.

Where in the hell are we gonna Fit Embly into..........

a) our salary cap
and
b) our playing list.

Don't get me wrong, he's a good player, but those running wingman types are all the rage at the moment and we already have a few of em in

Houlihan,
Walker
Waite,
and developing kids like Bower and Jackson.

He'd be asking for $400k per year EASILLY! Maybe more. Bloody hell? How much money do we have for next year?

As confident as those knobs are (except the Ox, he's a champ) i couldn't see Embly making it to calrton to be honest.

More like Sampi............which i WOULD NOT be happy about at all!

why wouldn't bitchmond know that embley is available? I would suggest they would, so even though we were to keep this on the down low, bitchmond would be crazy to not go for him in the event we wanted him or not.

I think this was highly unlikely last week and I think it's even more unlikely this week....that's not to say that there's a player out there who the Blues have been talking to - but I think the Embley rumour is to put clowns like KB and Waldron off the scent.

In his younger days Embley was the 'wild one' of the Eagles youthful midfield - but it was booze, not drugs that Embers was in to. The last few years - he's become a respected leader at their club. He's stood up to those who were not putting the team first and he loves John Worsfold. Himself, Dean Cox and Darren Glass are consumate professionals and to leave the Eagles now - in their time of need - would not be what he would want to be remembered for.

Isn't Embley contracted for another season or two? That point alone makes this whole discussion a moot point.

Because in order for the tigers to get Brennan they'll have to commit to a contract prior to PSD. This means Emb;ey can then walk out on the Eagles and, voila, he's a Blue boy!

...........If he's out of contract.

I'd have thought Swann would know if he was contracted or not, and would've put it to bed when asked if he was.

Turns 27 in June.

I am trying hard not to get an erection right now.

Surely this can't be true.

My guess is we were into him, but it fell through, so the rumours are old news.

(just trying not to get my hopes - and my knob - up).

Embley is one of the "good guys" like Chris Judd.

He's in the "no drugs" camp so may be over it just like out mate Juddy.

Not so unbelievable if he's out of contract.

That's the big "if" though...

Perhaps a little bit of sleight of hand by Swanny to deflect attention from elsewhere.

Cant see it happening... but if it does....there'll a lot of Carlton fans walking around with tents in their pants haha :P
Another reason I want Embley to come to us is to p*ss off opposition fans even more (if thats possible). Boy, that ll be the best... they'll be possitively sh*tting themselves.

Not sure how DUC would go with a tent in her pants...
