Funny how people spend 364 days of the years slagging Caro because she's not praising us, and now that she writes an article signalling a positive outlook for Carlton, those same people love her.

IMO, she's about the only footy journo with any credibility, and is far more objective than any other.

Some interesting highlights:

Quote:
"The Blues tanked most of the season's second half, made a mockery of the competition and have secured not only the best player in the AFL but a priority pick."

Quote:
"Lance Whitnall, correctly, was sacked by Ratten on the eve of the coach's fact-finding European soccer tour in yet another massive statement about leadership and commitment."

Quote:
"Incidentally, Judd in turn appears on the verge of a deal with Pratt's Visy Board to become an environmental spokesman in another handy new partnership."

Quote:
"The Eagles and Sydney in recent days have slammed the tanking and exploitation of the rules that allowed the Blues to gain Judd and — most certainly — Matthew Kreuzer. Collingwood hates Carlton again, too. All is right with the world. Now all the Blues have to do is start winning games of football."

Until the AFL competition is structured fairly, it deserves to be made a mockery of.

Perhaps it has to with the fact she didn't use the tired old "that's what I've been told" line she brings out year after year thinking that if she says that she doesn't have to be scrutinised.

It was afterall a pretty straightforward article...the sort of analysis you or I or any number of people on this site could performwith our eyes closed.

I might get crucified for this but I can reveal Ratten and Icke when in London will be meeting with a key position defender, a past champion who is looking to re-ignite his career & this player is willing to enter the Pre Season Draft.

Who is this mystery player?

Mark Bosnich.

I don't need validation by Caro to know that we are back.

We are on the right track but until we start cementing some good wins in 2008, then everything else that has happened in the last 10 months, won't mean a thing.

She's a hack. Almost getting herself into trouble there. She only shows herself to be an average writer every time she writes.

We're Carlton. Now let's win some games.

God no! One thing I like about AFL over NRL is the lack of this appeal to the lowest common denominator .. AFL doesn't need cheer chicks .. Carlton doesn't need cheer chicks ..
