Not quite sure what you are referring to. Not hapy with Judd coming? Concerned about the Josh to WC issue? Please explain.

I would have preferred Walker as part of the trade to West Coast then Kennedy

DOA:

We all have a lot of respect for you and greatly value your contribution, but I am not sure where you are coming from today. At the end of the day the best player in the competition was on the market and the Club had an opportunity to get him. Like anything in life, nothing comes for free and the Board, the Admin and the coach have the responsibility to make the team and the Club as strong as possible. I would have thought that the people that will most benefit from the trade are the likes of Walker, Murphy, Gibbs etc. They will have a role model -- off and on the field -- and have a greater chance of success.

As I have stated on another thread, those of us on this site have endured some awful times together -- consoling each other during black Friday, inept boards, coaches, etc. Today some feel like the wheel has turned. I am not sure why everyone wants to rain on the parade. Not having expectations filled when you are a professional is part of life -- people don't make partner, are asked to move to different cities/countries, etc. It is terrible that we lost JK, but it is hardly like he is going from Man Utd to Blackpool. He is closer to his family and going to the best performed club of the past 5 years and will have a coach and midfield that can better fulfill his talents so I think it is important to keep a perspective.

Fair enough but for a guy who been in the system for 4 years and finishes only 10th in the best and fairest in a team that came second last has very long way to go.

That sentiment is shared by many on here DOA - while we are all over the moon about what Judd brings to Carlton, we're sad that we've lost such a likeable kid when he didnt really want to go.

Do you know if he got a chance to talk to the other players? Will this be happening in the future?

We're all gutted to lose Josh, I don't think many of us have expressed any happiness about that side of the situation...

DOA I understand your frustration but I have to take you to task on your contention-
We didnt get Judd for bragging rights- sure, it was a nice by product of the coup, but as fyjanc accurately put it- Judd is the first sign that the wheel has turned for us as an on field force once again.
I have met JK on a few ocassions and he is a ripper kid. I want to try recruit him again next year- but you have to understand that our club has been shat on from all directions for 6 years now, we have had St Kilda supporters (a team with one flag in 110 years FFS) laughing at us, we have been compared to Fitzroy etc..
The wheel is turning. JK is a casualty.. but we need to look aat the big picture because footy in 2008 is big picture stuff.

Walker was gunning it this season until the injury. Struggled after that.

I reckon Carazzo messes around with the ball and runs back into traffic too much. Needs more penetration in his game like Walker has.

Shame to see Josh go. I wish it was thornton but its a mans game .we did sack josh but we made sure he had another great job to go to.

I @#$%&! love Chris Judd.

I prefer Rhys87 to Rhys26.

I find it hard to believe that Josh wasn't adequately informed of the possibility he would be going - yes we were always going to play hardball and try and keep him - but there was always the chance he was going.

The eagles knew this, we knew this , how could he have not known this?

If it is true - then i see where DOA is coming from that is a serious oversight on management's behalf and needs to be looked into, rectified and made sure that similar doesn't happen again.

That said - the outcome is part of the business and it is a shame JK is gone.

DOA is being cryptic in hintign that we are going to go after Franklin when he gets out of contract and Kruez might be a casualty in that:
ie- bemoaning the loss of loyalty in footy.
fair argument.. but we have to embrace it otherwise were gonna get another 10 wooden spoons.

To get Judd we had to give up a lot - its as simple as that.
I was hoping that it was Walks that would have been traded instead of Kenndy. Kennedy could potentially be a gun player whereas I don't think Walks will be any thing more then a very good player.
