Look, obviously no one likes missing out on the finals and not getting the glorious rewards that come with finishing down the bottom. (Murphy, Gibbs, Judd, etc). And I know Richmond have suffered because they have been known as the "9th place tigers". But next year I think we have to face the fact that we will probably finish around 9th-1oth, and it will be a platform towards hopefully launching ourselves to the top four in 2009. Hopefully we can sneak into the finals, but I can tolerate finishing 9th or 10th like 2004. The fact is we now have the talent on the list to challenge for a premiership in two or three years. Next year will be a "bridge year" for that talent, in my opinion.

Exactly. We've shown we can mix it with some of the good teams (should of done port over by 100points that night, and coulda easily accounted for 'em a second time). But by the same token we still have a very young list and it wouldn't surprise me if we finished 12th or 13th. If we make the finals it wouldn't come as a shock to me.

I predict, expect and promise that we will finish between 16th and 1st.

You heard it here first...

I'd be very happy if we can finish just outside the 8. Obviously I think a finals berth would be absolutely priceless for these guys, even if they get hammered in the first round they would learn so much and be inspired by the added intensity. But I'll be happy if we're one of that group of teams that 'could shape the final 8' even if we don't make it. 8-12 would still satisfy me.

I'd be disappointed if we ended up in the bottom 4 again however (especially if that @#$%&! T word is mentioned again  )
