I hope JK doesn't go as part of Judd deal - obviously loves carlton and IMHO really showed something late this season coming back from injury. just growing into his body...

but assume he does, does this mean a bigger role for Setanta? He actually looked pretty good on occasion as a leading half forward this year. And Russell had his best game IMHO vs collingwood as a leading HFF.

Russell/OHailpin/Fisher??

Throw in Wiggo as a rotation?

maybe try Cloke as a CHF when not in the ruck...

Houlihan should be half forward, dangerous around goals...i think we now have good enough midfield with Stevens back and of course Judd to play hoops forward...

O'hAilpin is better down back. I'd rather Waite up foward the him but I'd prefer these two play CHB & FB.

Going on his form in the last two games Whitnall could play CHF for at least the next 3 years depending on injuries. I'd like us to try and develop Hartlett to play that position long term and look at drafting a few other likely prospects.

Fisher is good at FP/HFF with Houlihan maybe playing on the other flank with other mids rotating through. I'd like us to try and draft a specialist HFF in the draft as we lack that. Maaric and Vezpremi look like likely types.

Russ won't be in our best 22 next season.

reason i like russell and wiggo rotating through HFF is that they have shown that they are not really run-with players. but they lead up well and have reasonable hands.

running straight up ground from HFF to wing to be an option coming out of defense

I'd put Cloke on the backline and put Waite at CHF

This is Adam Hartletts time to shine! The kid has talent and with Kennedys unfortunate departure could really give him the chance to step up!

CHB - Setanta
FB - Jamison

Honestly I liked the look of Hartlett more than Kennedy when fit and given the chance.

Under Pagan Kennedy was bypassed anyway when he played.

I'd say Hartlett will get first crack. Looked good in his last game i think it was before he was injured again. Might of been another game :?

Hartlett should get first crack at CHF if JK goes. (If Hartlett isn't traded!)
Whitnall - gone.
Cloke - Maybe, but kicking needs work
Waite - Like to see him at CHF, but think he will be at CHB to help out the inexperienced guys like Jamison, Austin, Bower?
Carlos - FB
Houlihan - surely must return to the forward line if we play a fit Judd, Stevens and Hadley??????? (still not sold on that one, but anyway - better than Longmuir! )

..no need to draft HFF's, as we have Fisher and Houla's (who is a HFF before a mid/HBF), and can rotate mids such as russel, gibbs, murph, walker through there.. ..if Kennedy does go, CHF would be waite for sure..

No need for a HF line when you have that midfield pumping it inside 50 :P

Fisher did an excellent job in that role towards the end of the year. He'll never be Riewoldt but he's more than adequate.

Kennedy hasn't done much for us anyway. Our forward line isn't the problem, actually we've got one of the most potent forward lines in the competition. Our problem is our defence and ruck. They need to be ultra-developed.

The guy has only played 20 or so games, once he hits over 80 he'll be a gun.

Agree with that though.
