Interesting watching the replay at one stage the camera was on Clarkson who had a smile on his face. Maybe Campo is a better reader of the Hawks' body language than their coach is.

Its interesting to look at Coach's reactions isn't it??

I noticed Pagan in the last minute of the game - that Pagan waived away the telephone from either Libba or Elshaug.

To me it came across as Denis saying: "Dont worry about sending them a message I want to see them get across the line from here on their own." 8)

Yeah I saw that too. It was in the 3rd quarter after Williams had kicked two in a row (before going on to do nothing in the last quarter!). He definately looked like he thought they had it all under control.

Of course, if you saw Clarkson interviewed before the game he has the cheery disposition of a coach who knows he won't get sacked no matter how many games they lose this season. So maybe that just spills over mid-game sometimes.

He looked pretty cocky Clarkson at that stage when they hadn't been able to put us away. It actually annoyed me to see him laughing when the game wasn't over, and appeared arrogant and disrespectfull towards the blues.

I don't think he was cocky

you've got to see what the guy's there for. He's developing a squad. He's there to be objective about this players and set-up. I wants them to play a possession brand of footy to see which players have the skill and composure to "go forward with".

There wasn't anything wrong with him. I reckon Clarkson is a good get for Hawthorn. They're in our 2003 situation, but they really pushed a team with 2 more years of development. He has every right to be pleased.

Maybe I was a bit hard on Clarkson and I am a fan of his as he has a good coaching record. But I doubt you see experienced coaches smiling so early in the game and the last I can think of laughing is the great Gerard Neesham.

When Clive kicked that goal and ran down the boundary communicating with the fans?
