Fortunately no reports of injury for our boys

Not even the inclusion of the four Ó hAilpÃn brothers could prevent Piarsaigh going under. Sean Óg started at centre-back and had a marvellous match; Tue came on at half time, while Aisake and Setanta were late substitutions, although the former won a fair amount of possession but got little return from it. ....Despite the introduction of Aisake Ó hAilpÃn, Piarsaigh got little reward for some strong pressure on the Nemo defence. But they might have had a goal when a snap shot by Ger Noonan clipped the crossbar before going over.
As time ticked away the pressure on the Nemo defence became immense and when John Gardiner landed two points in a row the deficit was down to two. Tempers became frayed and a couple of players were fortunate not to receive red cards, a very tolerant referee opting to issue yellow instead.
The game went into injury time when Piarsaigh sent on their fourth Ó hAilpÃn brother Setanta, but he couldn’t work the oracle. Play was held up for an injury to Stephen Glasgow and when it resumed, Morgan came to Nemo’s rescue with that excellent save from John Gardiner and they hung on for a win they just about deserved.
