When it mattered most,Lance stood up in that make or break last quarter.
It was a good last qtr performance, but he should've stood up all game
Yes how silly, he really should average 20 marks a game and at least 8 goals. What a bastard, what a brilliant red headed turd he is.
Would much rather it if he went missing for 4 quarters instead of 3.
Bloody bugger that he has got us over the line for 8 premiership points so far this year.
Selfish prick.
Do some goalkicking practise, and mentor young people with terminal illnesses you bastard.
I think Effes has a point. If Lance does what we know he can over 2, 3 or 4 quarters, even less brilliantly over a longer time, then we will be better placed to win matches, rather than have to come from behind....again.
You give me a list of players who could do what Lance did in the last quarter and then we are talking.
They are very rare.
If Carey could do what he did over 3 or 4 quarters he would kick 10 goals a game, all the time.
It is those BURST quarters that make for great players.
To expect Whitnall to do what he did in the last quarter, 2 goals and assists resulting in 1.1, would mean that a four quarter effort would be 8 goals and 4 assists. Yeh, that is realistic on a regular basis.

Now, you know that's not what I meant.
If he had a solid 4 qtr performance and ended up with 4 assists and 3 goals, we'd be saying he had a great consistent match.
And Carey could pull it out ALL MATCH when it was needed. Remember when he single-handedly beat Freo by himself? Kicked 10 that match and buried them. At Subi.
Burst players don't just happen. They burst UP from a solid consistent base they build over a couple of weeks, or over the length of a whole match.
I haven't seen the whole match yet...I'm in Sydney, it's going to be alate one for me...so I'm not in the best place to judge...yet.
I'm a staunch Lance-phile, but if he's "pacing himself" through the length of the match to have a good last quarter, that's not really good enough. There will be matches that can't be pulled back from the brink like tonight. I don't want to see Lance put in efforts which amount to no more than too little, too late.
