I believe for us to be a force again is for our players to grow beards or try having some facial hair.The great Carlton side of the 70s and 80s we were blessed with them.

The club has had fantastic players,the likes of Wayne Harmes,Rod Ashman,Ken Hunter,Ken Sheldon,James Buckley,Mike Fitzpatrick,Robert Walls,Peter Bosustow,Warren Jones,Peter Jones,Alex Jesaulenko,Val Perovic and the best of them all Bruce Doull.

The greatest player,Leigh Matthews from another club became a legend growing his,he played tough,he didn't mind a bit of the MCG turf rubbed in his face,he knew that the beard was like having super powers.

The improvement of Brad Fisher and Andrew Walker this year has been to do with their facial hair,lol as much as their football.

I believe more facial hair on guys like Paul Bower,Ryan Houlihan,Josh Kennedy,Bret Thornton,Joe Anderson,Jarrad Waite,Aisake and Setanta O'hAilpin, we will have a force not seen since the premiership days of 79,81 and 82.

I can see Jake Edwards stepping up next year with a beard as he was performing well when he was growing one.

Geelong have been powerful this year because of the beards and facial hair combined with the baldness a winning combination.

So to end this,we need the flying door mat to come and show the guys to grow a bloody good beard,go blues 08.

We need to stop eating vegies too
