Word at the club is the following
Carrazzo 2 year at $350,000 a done deal.
Scotland asking for $400,000 per season

Can confirm thats what I have heard.

I'm all for players being renumerated in line where they finish in the B&F but surely that has to be tempered with where the club finishes on the ladder as well. :?

Anyway good luck to them.

But there is still a lot of room in the TPP. 8)

I think 350 k for Carazzo is too much. I know he won our Best and Fairest, but our B n F winners over the last few years haven't really contributed in following seasons.

400k per season for Scotland.. I know he is good.. but not 400,000 good!!! That is what Kosi reportedly is on...............

Should this thread now be merged with the "Freo after Scotland" thread???

What he's asking for is $1.2 million over 3 years.

If I were Icke and Swann I'd be laughing in his face. I love the fact that he finished 2nd in the B&F...love the fact that the Herald-Sun said today that he was likely to be Carltons top vote getter at the Brownlow...

...it all adds up to greater bargaining at the trade table - both things are rigged to negotiate a better draft pick or player. If this weren't the case - do you honestly think that Fish, AW or Simmo wouldn't have finished higher??

Don't kid yourself folks - Heath Scotland is on the trade table if he continues to walk down this dangerous path that is playing out in similar circumstances to Aaron 'I want more money, I want more media exposure, I want..I want' Hamill.

Let's get rid of him while he's worth something...perfect chance and possibly our only chance before he becomes a slow back pocket hack.

Make it happen fellas!

Tell you what, if Scotland is seriously asking for that, I for one am more than happy if we worked out a trade.

Doc Sherrin and I were the only ones on here calling for a Scotland trade last year...

I am betting that if he asks for $400,000 over three years that there will be more than one poster joining the official 'trade Scotland now' group

Is that 350k per year for Andrew or 175k per year totalling 350k for the two year contract?

350 per year is crazy talk

Not really an argument the club could put forward though

If the figures being bandied around are correct then I am quite shocked at what Scotland and his manager are asking. 400K for 3 years is a very good deal and whilst his efforts this year have been fantastic, lets not forget that he has a few misdemeanours in his past and that we have given him numerous chances.

So as much as I think he has had a great year and is still a very good player, I would much rather trade him for a pick than allow this deal to happen. But i think there is still a long way to go in this negotiation.

400k is too much for Scotto. If he wont budge trade him to Brisbane for Cam Wood.

I guess we could trade Scotland and hey, lets trade carazzo too. Then carlton could join the under 18's and look for a premiership in 2015!

You clearly overrate our players, those two look good in a shit side. Both will not figure prominently when we become a decent side in a few years. Need to keep the lid on player contracts for the purpose of snaring a quality uncontracted player. I suppose we should have given Teague a $400,000 annual contract when he won our best & fairest.

Find out whatthey are worth as trade bait and then tewll me if they haven't seriously overpriced themselves.

Conundrum

We have to pay 92.5% of the cap regardless folks, I'd rather it be Carrazzo who gets 350K instead of Lance Whitnall getting 350K. Carrazzo works hard and has performed well, 350K is a little higher but it's not excessive. This amount may include match payments - we don't know.

Scotland wanting 400K...where are the people who were shooting down the Hasleby for Scotland trade? Would you rather Scotland at 400K or Hasleby at say 300K? Scotland's role as HB sweeper could be played better by Gibbs and who's 8 years younger and probably more creative and we could do with a consistent defensive style midfielder who has a hard body and can get the ball and dispose well.

400K for a guy who runs around in circles? Hehe...in Swahili - he's a Mzungu - a foreigner - literally - someone who runs around in circles.

WTF would you say that.

Scotland is one of the those players who is better value to us than he is at the trade table. We will only get a second round pick and we will be giving up one of our best and most experienced players.

We have stacks of room in the cap anyway.

So you think a guy who is ONLY worth a 2nd rd pick, is worth 400k per year? What are you on?

Let's pay all our "good" players 400k. What is Stevo worth then? Waite? Fev? Simmo?
So much more i'd like to say :x   :?
