Please Denis.

Play Simmo on the ground for more than 5 minutes a quarter.

In fact play him for the whole game. Put him on a wing, on a flank, hell in the back pocket if you must but give him a chance to prove himself.

If he makes a mistake or if he looks like he's not reading the play, by all means drag him and give him a rocket, but then put him back on again.

Many of us believe he will be a valuable player for our club. You don't appear to rate him, by the game time he gets. Fair enough you are probably a far better judge than all of us put together; but at least give him some time to prove himself one way or the other.

You've seen the changes in Wiggo's game since he had the confidence to be himself. That's the confidence from being given a game and left on the ground, and being given the chance to fluff things up and then hit back hard without worrying about being dragged or dropped.

So, from Ponkstar - and many of us here at TC - please:

LET'S FIND OUT WHAT SIMMO CAN DO!!!!

YEAH!!!

I'd stick him in the backpocket on Harry Miller.

Amen to that Ponky.

As molsey said in the teams thread, the named side is a bit light on for defenders so I'm hoping Simmo's inclusion will mean a gig running off half back.

Houla on the wing.... Simmo to take on Houla's role as the creative attacking defender! PLEASE DENIS!!

Well, im rapt Simmo is in. To me he is like a Burgoyne (but white and not a Burgoyne) and just the kind of running player we need rebounding.
Houla will get more time in the midfield.

Talk about damning with faint praise, or praising with an insult, or whatever......

I believe backhanded compliment might be what you're after.

Let's just say he's like Burgoyne without being a prick.

I hope Kade shows Denis what he can do with a lengthy period on the ground.

Denis knows Simmo is a gun young player. I think he just reckons he's a bit fragile and is afraid to throw him in. But, he's got to just toss him in and cross his fingers.

PUT HIM ON HARRY MILLER. HARRY MILLER IS A PISSWEAK

Knew he was related to Pickett, but Miller as well?
Doesn't Eddie have a link to Davey as well?

Ok he is related to Byron Pickett, Harry Miller, The Burgoynes, Wells and i think Johncock.(Not 100% sure about Johncock..the others definitely)
Mostly 3rd cousins . Millers like an uncle / cousin.

I don't rate Simmo that highly.

WBY - please remember:

* he is in the best lpayers pretty much each week in the seconds, and has been for the last 1 1/2 years
* is in his third season on an AFL list only

Having watched him in the 2's, his skill level just stands out among the rif-raf. He has been tried half forward, midfield, back pocket and is most damaging at half back. Yes, he's small still, but don't let that get you down yet (maybe in a few years). Simmo seems to be judged by another scale to other players, but he will be an AFL player, of that I have no doubt. Whether We give him enough chances, or he is on-traded, I am not sure, but his skill level puts him top 5 on our list in my book. For a team struggling with skill, I believe that it is imperative that he play seniors the rest of the year.
