Tonsilitis is contagious - wouldn't it be terrible if it spreads ...

Is this for real? I'm not sure what to believe now.

The conversation went like this:

Ratten: "Marc, you know against Essendon* when Cain palmed it down your throat and you ran into goal?"

Murphy: "Yep"

Ratten: "It was a fluke. We need Kreuzer. You have tonsilitis"

Bring in the General...

Out: Gibbs (general soreness)

Geeze, if this is true and Murph is out as well, the team going out on Sunday will be worse then the one belted by North in Round 22, 2003. Surely we cant win now.
Sundays game is quickly losing all credibility.. We could ve been a bit more subbtle with our tanking then we've been.... I hope this doesnt result in media uproar, and AFL investigation and ultimately the stripping of Draft picks..

Read in an article about a month ago that Gibbs was sayiing how tired his body was . Surely it's time to give him a rest, an extra week for his body to recover before pre-season.

SAS87's strike rate is as close to 100% as anyone's on this forum. SAS87 = 99% strike rate Synbad / Josh Kaplan = 90% strike rate Molsey / Jarusa = 22% Bondiblue = 5% FWIW Murphy wasn't at Carlton Sevens lunch, when all listed players were, owing to illness of some type.

Can it get any funnier than Murphy being legitimately ill this week? The uproar will be hilarious.. I'll be tuning in to SEN on the way home today... this will be a meltdown of epic proportions.

Swann hasn't been hiding from the fact we are tanking. In fact he's been very straight up about it, saying from day one that we will play kids because it's all about next year. The club won't be making any stuff up, the players who are out will have genuine physical complaints. Whether they could have played had it been an important game is academic really. What's important, and this is what the club will argue, is the players are due back earlier than usual for their pre-season (Ratten flagged this last week), and so they will not be wanting to risk further aggravating any injuries or illnesses given they have brought forward their pre-season training. It's clever work by the club and totally legal as far as I am concerned. I mean since when is it against the rules to give your kids some experience and sicne when is it against the rules to have an early pre-season and not want your players to miss it through injury or illness?
