Apparently in the Herald Sun tomorrow, Kouta is quoted as saying that he believes we'd be better off losing against Melbourne.

But I'm sure all the boys will be giving 110%

You know I can't help but wonder watching the last month how well a fit Kouta would have gone in 2008 :(

I really think if he'd had an extended run at it and we didn't have to chuck games as we do, man he would have been something to watch "sigh".

You know my heart really sinks when I think of it.

Just imagine the big number 43 in full flight....

Maybe it'll be Walker, maybe it'll be Waite, no there was only ever one Kouta.

I'll enjoy watching Walker and Waite nonetheless, they always manage to lift my spirits. I think Walker will catch Waite next year. Finally the boy becomes the man.

Lookout then.

Go to the footy frontpage of the HS and note how they put a Saints logo next to a Barry Hall article. What a bunch of morons......

I really wish people in official and quasi-official positions at the club would just keep their big mouth shut about draft picks. It was bad enough Crosisca mouthing off at half time a few weeks back.

We should be playing the straightest of bats on this matter. If the AFL decides to do a backflip on PPs (and the public and media backlash on them will be deafening by the end of this week) it will be such a popular move with the punters that they'll only need the flimsiest of excuses to justify it.

Why the club continues to give them a patchwork of quotes to stitch together into pretext to act is beyond me. A lot of things have changed at the club recently but the PR department are still amateur hour as far as I'm concerned. Anyone who is going to be talking to the media should have been issued pre-prepared lines on this topic. And anyone who hasn't learned them verbatim should not be allowed to talk to the media full stop.

Kouta should be saying one thing, and one thing only:

"The best thing for Carlton's future is to get wins into our group of young players. I want to see the boys win on Sunday against Melbourne."

If he's too thick to manage that he should mumble a "no comment" and change the subject.

David Rhy Jones summed it up perfectly - "the league owes us a few draft picks" :!:

I don't agree with making this kind of attitude public, but finally someone actually say what a majority of us think. 8)

Put Kouta out there this week for a farewell game, he knows what is required!!!!!!!

So, according to one poster on here... by hoping that Carlton lose on Sunday, guys like Kouta, Walls, and the Hyphen are not 'true supporters'.

Imagine going up to Rhys-Jones and saying 'hey mate, you are not a true Carlton supporter'.

He won't though. He's backed himself into a corner and instead of admitting he can't go any further back he's just going to sit there and be an asshole.

Either that or he really is delusional.

Be very surprised if the PP wasn't changed again or even better, removed after this year now.
Lets take what's rightfully been with-held from us and say .... flower you all and move on!

As dumb as Kouta was letting comments like that to be plastered over the hun (I’d prefer he shut-up!), I thought Garry Lyon’s statements last night on Classified were very interesting given his role at the club at present with the coaching sub-committee. He repeated the following statement a few times – “Believe me, the Melbourne football club will NOT be winning this Sundayâ€

Well for the centre bounce we should send out some deck chairs for the mid-fielders to sit in, send out some banana daiquaris - at least make the boys comfortable whilst they look at the ball after the umpire has bounced it.

Or maybe the boys can start their Mad Monday on Sunday Night - and send out the cheersquads to play instead.
