given the outcome of scotland's appeal attempt, do we bother?

do we give a message to the group that the club will draw a line in the sand and not tolerate such lapses of discipline? pagan seemed to say as much tonight!

but how will fev take any decision by the club not to appeal? will he feel let down? will he grumble over the fact that an appeal was launched for heath but not for him?

i'm disappointed grover got away with a $900 fine for a full-blooded headlock ... not a hold, not a grab, not a push, not a shove, but a @#$%&! full-on headlock.

some of those (like me) with big mouths (... ) know what it's like to be on the receiving end ... but as el prezidente said, you gotta learn to relax and ride it out (i learned the hard way!). fev didn't and got pinged.

how the jury can say that it was intentional makes a mockery out of having ex-players on the panel! most people would just panic and not know what the hell they were doing. apparently, our boy fev has amazing prescence of mind.

but i also feel an appeal will be pointless. they've made up their minds that it was intentional. the slo-mo replay is damning, especially if you focus JUST ON FEV'S HANDS.

so do we just let it go, use it as an opportunity to re-focus and move on?

appeal, appeal, appeal

its a @#$%&! disgrace to be honest.

like i said, unless you are trained to handle a headlock, people will always panic and when people panic you could just about claim a temporary insanity plea becuase you arent thinking straight.

people may laugh at that, but that is really waht it is all about.

being in a forceful headlock can be extremelly scary for some people and indeed most people will panic in the circumstances.

What the club should do is get a profession wrestling coach, ais maybe, our something along those lines and get the coach to explain the procedures of what trained professionals do to "not panic" and then also explain the actions of 99 out of 100 people that hever have had training and see the response.

Its just hard to fathom - but also, i must give credit to the club thus far - they appeared to stat the facts as they where and present the case with a commen sence approach - that didnt work so you bring in a specialist.

Mayhaps get a Self Defence Teacher in, a Professional Greco Roman Wrselting coach or something along those lines to explain it all to these dumb ass

Or, the simplest thing would be to get one of them in the headlock and see how quickly it would be for one of them to grab at the arms, which is what fev did, it just turned out that in this instance, grovers arms where real close to his face.

I reckon we won't.
Honestly, that footage of Fev and Grover wrestling around was so against Fev it wasn't funny.
Perhaps this will be a good thing for the club and Fev.

Gives someone else the chance to step up and gives Fev a chance to re-assess where he is at.

1500% appeal!!!!!!!!!!

I cannot believe Fev can get the same penalty as Scotland when you compare the incidents.
Lets kick up a stink. Someone should have a potshot like hirdy did with the umps last year. 20k or whatever i dont care. Lets get some passion and feeling for friday night.

i have a hunch that an appeal would end up in him getting more weeks...

NO We shouldnt appeal.. it will just stuff up our preperation for this week.... remeber we playing in 2 days...

This suspension comes as a joy for myself, cuase its about time Fev takes a break to sort out his Contract and anger, Whilst This is the time for someone to stand up and do something for us.... We gota have a waite, an eddie betts, Davis, Morell, Mcgrath, bla bla the list is Long...

We cant afford to have so many of these players who will only turn for u a decent game.... Whtinall will give u his best i am sure, but we need someone else to kick a bag of 4.....

the way i see it, Denis has no answer nor replacement to Fev... Pagan's Plan B is abvious, Put Lappin in there and count on him to kick the 4-5 goals needed.... Who else is capable of multiple goals? none.....

There's no point in appealing. The Scotland appeal just proved that we'll get screwed again.

I just hope that at least once this season we'll able to put our best possible team on the park. Injury and suspensions have not been kind to us so far.

Yep, Fev needs to re-assess where he is at.

1. Time to quit the Footy Show - I'm seeing Lovelace is going to come out in the media now...

2. Get a friggin haircut, cut the dreadlocks off. If you didn't have them last week then Grover had nothing to pull on in the first place and maybe you wouldn't have been in that position in the first place.

Wouldn't waste the money for an appear unless Fev puts his hands in his own pockets to pay for it.

The tribunal give me the impression that they'll knock back just about all appeals for any player simply to prove that their overhaul has worked, when in actual fact it's still as scattergun as it has always been.

Definately NO APPEAL - get on with the show BlueBoys! All energies must be directed towards winning Friday nights game - we cannot waste a millisecond of focus towards a futile appeal.

Fevola is out, apart from Fisher & Livo, we are basically full strength! When you consider Hawthorns list & there lack of a quality full-forward, it will be extremely disappointing & damaging to lose Friday nights game, with or without Fevola. Friday is a WIN AT ALL COSTS game, so lets just get on with producing a 4 point result !!!

Appeal, you're joking aren't you.

Ron Evans and Demetrispew have factored a couple of hundred thousand dollars in lost appeal bonds in addition to our $900,000 fine they slapped on us after Black Friday 2002.

Appeal, my eye.

Why should we be like the Woods and appeal every decision. Fev was wrong. Plain and simple!!

Lets get on with life without him and see where we go

with the time constraints........an appeal
may hurt us more than help us.......!

it's just a pebble.....on the rocky road we have had
....and will continue to have for a little time yet.....!

heads down arses up.........and soldier on.......!

we are a TEAM.........!

kindest regards tommi

nail head hit.

I reckon we were lucky to get away with just two weeks. Let the Essendons and Collingwoods of this world whinge about shit that's out of their control, we'll just get on with playing footy.
