Yep I think it's his time personally. The couple of times I've seen him this year he's looked quite good - much improved on last season. Can take a grab in a pack and play back and forward.

Last week when I checked out injuryupdate.com.au, it said that Fisher was expected back in Round 6 (but remember that this doesn't mean in the seniors, it might mean VFL). Now it has swung wildly. With due respect to that site, I won't assume that Fish is on the LTI until I hear it from the club.

Now, if he is on the LTI, it is obvious that Santy has to be promoted. Anybody who says otherwise is joking, surely :P

Santy might say he isn't ready. So when does a player decide when they should play? Our Irish friends point out that perhaps undue modesty and excessive self-criticism are part of Santy's personality.

Why promote a young body that will struggle to make an impact on AFL football? With Santy, he will make an impact. He will be like the Allies unleashing the first Tanks at Cambrai in WW1 or the Germans blasting the rocket-propelled Me 163 Komet at unsuspecting Allied bombers in WW11. If you are an opposition coach, you can't plan for what Santy will do. After all, he might be a plan that explodes in our faces. But if things work out, he will be a fireball of muscle, energy and speed that will take robotically-programmed defenders by surprise.

To say that he isn't ready this year overlooks the fact that clubs include youngsters in the side who make hardly any impact in their first games, or are so inconsistent in their first years that the best that can be said about their inclusion is that they gain the experience that will make them good players down the track. Anyone remember Simmo's triple-bagel games?

Unleash the mad Irishman now :D

No problems with Fisher, as stated above he trained well tonight. Normally any player returning from a long term injury will wear a yellow or red jumper.

Today was the first training day for the year that Fisher wore the same jumpers as all the other players and in fact participated in all drills. Fisher was one of the last of the track tonight and will play for the Ants within the next two weeks.

Which rookie would be in pole position for elevation? Setanta's four goals last weekend are looking mighty good to me, but if his preparation will be diminished by elevating him now then I'm prepared to wait. So if not Setanta, who's next in line?

Probably Jesse D or Plemmo.

around 20th May according to Elshaug on SEN - firing on the track and being held back but they are excited about him!

Interestingly wqhen asked about Carlos did not say no to the big Lad being promoted (didn't say yes either) but I didn;t think we had any LTI's.

Livo two weeks away.

Still recovering from last year's mid-season ACL reco. Has been placed on the long term injury list.

A failure of conservative treatment has meant Luke will have surgery on Wednesday 13.4.05

So Maybe Setanta may be elevated off the Rookie List
