Post subject:  Big Game, Strange World ?

Just doing some browsing as usual and reading all the posts on here.
Then i thought i would take a break to submit my footy tips.

Looking at this weeks games and the ladder , We have a real opportunity to end up in the 8 after this round.

Current Ladder :

WC 20
Kang 20
Melb 16
St Kil 12
Adel 12
Geel 12
Rich 12
Bulld 8
---------------
Freo 8
Syd 8
Ess 8
Carl 6
Port 6
Coll 4
Haw 4
Bris 4

Now i'm not the greatest tipper but would suggest that the results will/should go as follows:

(winners in CAPS)

CARL v haw
MELB v freo
ADEL v kang
ess v BRIS
WCE v syd
GEEL v bulldogs
coll v ST KILDA
RICH v port

yeah some games could go either way but ......

This would leave the ladder at :

WCE 24
Melb 20
Kang 20
St Kild 16
Adel 16
Geel 16
Rich 16
CARL 10
-------------------
Bulld 8
Syd 8
Freo 8
Bris 8
Ess 8
Port 6
Coll 4
Haw 4

Yeah I know it doesn't mean much , but it does show we aint that far off the mark and i'm scraping for positives.

I wonder what the mood of this place would be if this actually happens??

Couldn't happen mate...don't you know we're absolute shite and won't win another game until our battle of the wooden spooners with the Bummers in round 17? :?

Alternatively, if we lose & Port beat Richmond (Port WILL beat Richmond), we'll be 15th, one spot above the Magpies.

BIG game this Friday night Blues!!! :|

or alternatively people could try learning to count to 8 :x

Once that's managed, perhaps take a deep breath and some people will realise that they are overreacting just a tad ;)

hehehe... think along the lines of what many people are told to do when something pisses them off - count to 10 (normally) and then to take a deep breath.

THe time allows you to take control of your emotions and think rationally (in theory) - would make the forums a lot better to read if more people did that after a loss. Dont mind constructive criticism/discussion on team changes/weaknesses etc but it should be balanced - continual slagging/snide remakrs about certain players is a bit much though
